I need to catch up with my summer and fall season anime.

Been loving Ika Musume S2 so much. The Engrish episode was adorable and hilarious.

I don't really feel like watching Ben-To and C3 any more. Both of them seem to be heading in weird directions...well, that and the fact that all the videos load slowly these days. Hmm. I wonder why...

The overtly sexual way Shu's mom acts around him is rather grating... I'm impressed they got all the way to episode 8 before doing a beach episode. That's a lot longer than most shows.

Inserts weren't quite as good as previous ones, but all in all it was a good episode. They needed to make a happy episode after 20 and 21 with that dickass Kuroi messing with Chihaya.

Ufotable's going to devote an entire episode of F/Z to Rin. Wow.

Shana Final Ep 9 - What the...wasn't Magnesia impregnable? Tenmoku Ikko sliced through it as though it were butter.

Anyhow, seems like it'll get even more interesting from here on out. Can't wait.

EDIT: Just read up on Tenmoku Ikko. Apparently, Unrestricted Spells have no effect on him, which explains why he could penetrate Magnesia. Think of him as having Touma's Imagine Breaker (To Aru Majutsu no Index) or Mikan's Nullification Alice (Gakuen Alice).

Phi Brain Ep 10 - That's an interesting puzzle.

Anyway, seems like Gyamon is just there for comic relief now, with his WTHWHERE'SMAHMONEH antics in recent episodes.

Mirai Nikki 9 - all I could think about at the end was Yuno saying "sorry for stabbing you "

Toshi and Gin broke Kondo and the Shogun's penises off while using them as snowboards. "PENILE BRAKE SYSTEM" ended in the wrong way, LOL.

Just realised I missed a bunch of haganai episodes, so...

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai:

Ep 7 - It's hilarious how Kodaka and Yozora were like OMG CELL PHONES CAN DO THAT?! Oh, and LOL at the bus scene.

Ep 8 - That was one messed up galge. Poor Yozora and Rika, seems the two of them are claustrophobic...or maybe Yozora's just covering up for motion sickness (Rika has a good reason to be claustrophobic though). Also,

Kodaka: "Are you feeling sick or aroused? Pick one."

Ep 9 - Sena's father looks like Sakai Yuji

Ep 10 - So many things I could comment on...

- Rika. Is. Weird.
- THE YAOI!!! ARGH MY EYES!!!
- What a waste of sunscreen!
- Why the heck is Kodaka fishing at the beach? Isn't it a little dangerous with the girls (and Yukimura) swimming around?
- That paella looks great. Come to think of it, why do so many manga and anime have characters cook paella, anyway?
- Trying hard not to laugh at the scary stories segment. Including Yozora's story.
- "I just came to sleep with you. ^_^"


Though it would kill the fun, I wish Yozora and Sena would at least pretend to get along...though at this rate, they'll probably end up vitriolic best buds anyway.

Shana Final Ep 10 - What the hell. Shana's learnt how to use an absolutely devastating four-part finisher. And judging from what the camel guy said, Shana probably deleveled from all that slacking in captivity, then level grinded back up by killing the camel's dolls and clones...

Massive improvement from Shana II and S. Next episode's in a week. ARGHHHHH

Here's my take on the endings so far:

C³: Well, it was not bad. The art was awesome, one of the bests I've seen. The arc format didn't go well because the show was too short, so it missed some depth. Seems like there will be a possible second season.

UN-GO: This was unexpectedly good. The first few episode were just fine, but since episode 7 everything got better with the addition of Bettenou, and Kaishou's case was awesome. Loved the fight in the final episode. Also, I now want to see the prequel movie.

Mawaru Penguindrum: Well, it's over. It's been a wild ride over these last 24 weeks.

This series was awesome. Since the first few episodes it became one of my favorites anime, and after reading on many sites about the troll Ikuhara pulled on Utena, I was worried about this ending. It turned out much better than expected. Kanba and Shoma dying was pretty sad, and Masako saying it was a dream almost made me go nuts. Good to know it was not. The ending was great, seems like it's all in an alternative world, with Shoma and Kanba still alive and being kids, Masako not being Kanba's sister, and Himari and Ringo not knowing each other, although they turned out to be good friends. Kanba suddenly bleeding out penguin logos, Ringo bursting in flames, Shoma saying "I love you", and Himari crying over the note was very moving, made me almost cry.

This series was awesome, and I started watching without any expectations, but turned out to be one of the bests of the year.
Mawaru Penguindrum, along with Steins;Gate are my choices for Anime of the Year. (Followed by Madoka)
