I did a lot of ARAM a bit before deny was removed, a plank in that was ridiculous. Like Rammus in Dominion right now.

Aram its a pretty unbalanced and unofficial mode, so anything you say about a champ in there doesnt stick most of the time in a Classic game. Its like saying AP yi its the most OP stuff in LoL just because hes good in ARAM when everyone and their grandmas know its not true.

Oh of course, I didn't mean to say "Plank OP in ARAM, Nerf Heimerdinger in response please".

Related note, played with a jungle AP Yi in my most recent ranked Solo/Duo. Went like, 4/10? I really want to try it once in a practice or something, see why people like messing around with it so much. Maybe understand at least why no AP Yi I ever play with grabs cdr.

Sounds like an AD champion with a farm move. I really don't remember seeing or hearing about anybody taking him except for "dat deny", during phases where he was nerfed.
It could very well be we're remembering different GP's, since he had deny capability through a lot of changes quite often until Riot figured out that his deny just wasn't going to ever fit.

Either way, calling him OP is far too much credit. Le Blanc, Twisted Fate, they've been OP. Le Blanc got an unscheduled, very early mini-patch in order to nerf her, and TF was not allowed in tournaments "because TF that's why". Plank may have been high-tier for a while, but his power level wasn't 9001.

I'm going to assume you have no idea what you're talking about. Uncounterable free manipulation of a lane in your favor is most certainly game breaking.

I must say I caught 3, and he admitted he was faulty on 2 :f6:. The third one is pending right now (aka Gangplank).

OP means overpowered, which was arguable with just how bad he was at, well, everything else.

He was exactly the same except he won his lane even more often and did more damage (passive), raped healing effects and had an ult that was more random. He was amazing. For whatever reason no one played him. If we were to compare the current gp and old gp, there would be marginal differences in effectiveness, probably in favor of the old gp.

Which I totally...agreed to/originally stated? Now I'm the one confused. I was trying to just make the point that Broken is not a synonym of OP.

I apparently know a ton less about old GP than I thought I did. So I'll stop not making sense about that.

Our Annie was really good first of all, grabbing first blood vs Orianna and taking the blue Lee Sin gave her at start.
My friend used to play Jungle Maokai before that big game where he shined, but didn't realize how to build him. So, he looked up tips from TheOddOne, did a few normals and now sees how RIDICULOUS Jungle Maokai can be. I mean jesus he secured a kill almost every time he ganked, and when Janna cv'd lee at red, me and him went over there, caught him, he flashed out so Maokai throws sapling for vision + w root and we kill him and take his red.
Riven in general is just a monster if she can farm safely. I almost ALWAYS win when I play her because she can get farmed up so easily and the way she scales with AD is wonderful. We're thinking Jungle Maokai+Riven top will be a really good duo to win some ranked games.

Doing much better now. Breaking 1300 elo for the first time and got myself a bronze badge !

Edit: Soloing Baron on Udyr with almost full tank build is almost like trolling Baron himself. He'll get me first with Wrath of the Ancients, then Baron's like "oh shiet I'm taking too much physical damage", then I get Voracious Corrosion debuff stacks by the time Wrath debuff expires. This cat-and-mouse game happens throughout, and I didn't get demolished, thankfully (didn't get fully debuffed).

(Ofc I was tanked up and had lots of sustain to be able to pull this off, though I was slightly melted by the time I was finished lol)

My Ranked ELO is just dropping like a rock. Out of the past five games I've had four leavers, two afk-because-mad'ers, etc. Haven't been in a game yet that's tryhard in any way.
With how my normal-mode games go, I'm feeling like a lot of tryhards like it there better, so that they can pick the flavor of the month combos and roll face.

Be able to carry hard. Or fill any role with several champions. Pray you don't get leavers too because they're abundant in 1200 elo range.

Heck, who do you play to bring people out of low ELO? Akali is always banned (I mean besides obviously Soraka).

(Our Ashe had a lot of latency/dc issues so she was there 1/2 the time, hence 72cs)

edit: As if to prove that Ranked is not really tryhard at my rock-bottom ELO there, just fought a Twitch and Heimer. Ended 2/2/10 as Janna.
