As for Atmogs, warmogs is getting a small nerf next patch which should help this.

Okay finished 10 ranked games and I am sitting at an even 5 wins 5 losses lol :l I win whenever my team doesn't have a leaver or someone who just plain sucks.
10th and most recent game though was pretty fun. Needed a jungler and a tank so I grabbed good old Rammus even though I don't play him that often. Bot was getting beat up pretty badly and Graves/Sona already had several kills against our Teemo/Lux. So I repeatedly ganked them and fixed up the lanes. Nasus got to free farm top and Morgana free farmed mid so they were in good shape by the time mid and late game came around. Overall pretty satisfying game and I love how Rammus can turn the tides of the match so early on like that.

Anyway, sitting at 1241 elo now. Hopefully I can bring my wins farther ahead of my losses and reach bronze.

Also, loled a bit about how Denyplank was OP because he could deny with Raise Morale. Then again...no other champ could deny, which isn't fair lol

The group I play with had a huge discussion about this a while back. The conclusion we came to was that Jewplank was not OP, but that he was broken, and that there was a definite difference between those two words (kind of in a "newb" vs "noob" sort of fashion?). Kind of the same problem Tryndamere has right now. Is he OP? Nah, if you have the right setup he can be countered more or less, which means you should never really have a huge tryn problem in a ranked game where he isn't banned (one of those "once every other full moon" things), but he does have a rather broken mechanic to him. He doesn't really work right, I guess is a way to put it. Only two champions have ever been OP & Broken at the same time in my opinion. Twisted Fate and Le Blanc.

It won't help, the champions will go Fromogs instead of Atmogs. Difference of ~200hp, you lose the regen but gain an amazing slow, and the HP loss is worth 4ad from Atma's while Frozen Mallet gives a straight 20ad on top of the HP/slow. Tad more expensive but it'll work just fine, many players already do this on specific champions (Olaf's a common one). If Riot wanted to fix the complete Atmogs problem they would have to remove Atma's altogether, much like how they "fixed" Udyr and Sona by removing Innervating Locket.

Woop, I was totally not thinking straight and forgot that it's 920+450, not 470+450. That's what I get for not double checking. Heck I even said Fromogs, which isn't even right.

Point still stands though, Fratma's is still viable, and unless Warmogs is blasted into bad-tier (again), it'll still be viable to do as well. To actually kill Atmogs you'd have to either remove Atmas, or make atmas/HP items suck.

It either Scale on bonus Hp only or a lower percentage, if you give it both you will make the item beyond useless.

Also giving it base AD would mean changing the recipe making it more expensive or removing the crit chance or armor for the AD.

Sounds like an AD champion with a farm move. I really don't remember seeing or hearing about anybody taking him except for "dat deny", during phases where he was nerfed.
It could very well be we're remembering different GP's, since he had deny capability through a lot of changes quite often until Riot figured out that his deny just wasn't going to ever fit.

Either way, calling him OP is far too much credit. Le Blanc, Twisted Fate, they've been OP. Le Blanc got an unscheduled, very early mini-patch in order to nerf her, and TF was not allowed in tournaments "because TF that's why". Plank may have been high-tier for a while, but his power level wasn't 9001.

Pretty much yeah, people ban champs all the time with no real reason besides "I don't want to deal with that", which is fine by me don't get me wrong, I do it like every game to Fizz. Trollpole is really, really annoying.

Well... its a core mechanic in Dota (I believe Dota 2 have it too) and HoN. The only reason its considered broken in LoL its because Denyplank was the only capable champion of doing it.

I did a lot of ARAM a bit before deny was removed, a plank in that was ridiculous. Like Rammus in Dominion right now.
