large gaga panel paintings

this is for my window display that i'm installing next week!!

im in visual merchandising where we design sets for a window display, our theme was "Little monster" taking inspiration from lady gaga and these are 2 8x4' panel paintings i did in a span of 12:40PM~5:40PM with a 1 hour break

so like 4 hours for this all!

I don't like the background color, but I love the artwork itself! Great job!

The colour for the panel was "gone bananas" LOL It was a yellow, it was chosen to suite the window we're installing in. Our window display lights are really bad, so I picked like the most brightest and vibrant colour I could find of yellow so that it would get lost in the window display! I will update it with the panel inside the window!


it's yellow because that's our theme, gold/blacks hehe

Lady Gaga is autotuned crap, but those paintings are awesome anyway. 4 hours? That size? Daymn

They are both really good, love the detail and the shading, and i think the colour rather suits it actually

thanks guys for the comments , and 1 week from today I will be able to get a clear shot of these in the window!!
I just looked at it again and its DEFINITELY MORE brighter than those pictures!

it's like SUPER BRIGHT, my cellphone pics don't capture the brightness!

Saying she's an autotuned crap is much more about the fact that she's a pop artist than a singer, at all. The biggest example is Gwen Stefani.
As the singer of No Doubt, a group that played some awesome rock songs, you see all the comments saying "My god, what a voice" or "Best singer of all the time". But once she left No Doubt and started her solo career, look at some of her videos and you see the same people saying "Autotuned pomegranate". Yet she has already proven that autotune is not even close to being required for her performance.

You'll see after a while that most of those thoughts come much more from the fact that she changed the kind of music she did sing, than the fact she "unlearned" her singing ability.
Knowing about an artist before judging so much doesn't kill anyone. The change on the lyrics'quality between those kinds of music is something you can actually discuss about, but being able to sing does not depend on the type of music you sing.

Her voice isn't garbage, her music is. But those paintings are pretty nice.

Thanks guys! here is the end result, i NEVER WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN LOL

-dressing mannequins/pinning them right
-wiring mannequins to stand up
-maintenance and keeping the window absolutely clean
-setting up godawful light tracks in the top
-making sure there are no scuffs or imperfections on the mannequins
-installed suspended panels (SO HEAVY, kill me)
-styling mannequins

window display is actually hard work, I have a new appreciation for window display design, my godd
