People being hacked since the last Server Check.

My guild leader got hacked yesterday, looking like it was the same story as most of these. I've managed to get myself autobanned for 30 days so I'm not too worried for now, but I've been locking my account as Combattente said. It's like a really shitty game of roulette.

This could explain some of the earlier hackings of those with weak passwords who have never changed them since before April.

Well it finaly hit me, my 2nd account is stripped naked. there goes 4k$ in equips. there goes selling them for a vacation.

How is it that people are still constantly getting hacked even now? It's going far beyond ridiculous at this point...

I feel your pain. When my Chief Bandit got hacked back in '08, I lost schematics I had created by arranging the items in my ETC inventory.

A few days later, I was told that the Shake Weight had already been patented.

Nexon is only admitting this now due to disclosure regulations for potential investors, not because they suddenly give a pomegranate about player concerns.

Maybe someone should tell the potential investors that accounts are still being taken over and Nexon doesn't appear to be at all concerned about the matter.

Potential investors wouldn't care either, that doesn't directly effect their profits, only indirectly. As long as no discrepancies show up due to it, they will give even less of a crap than nexon does about us.

Same here, i got an email during the last server check about changing my email and what not, so i went to nexon site, changed my pass also changed my email pass, couldn't go on right after the game went back on, but when i did, lost all my mesos, on my shop mule t.t

Got 2 emails in my inbox last Thursday from Nexon; both were password reset requests.

Lol hackers. They already got me on Halloween and now they are trying to take another go at my account again?

I got hacked about 5 days ago, but the funny thing is the didn't steal everything...

And can anyone tell me what kind of security PIN code provides if hackers can just enter your email and reset it?

Makes me wonder if one of my old accounts got hacked. I was looking into using one of them to make a new char on DN but it said I needed to reactivate. I look into the old email account and there were like 5 requests there.

I guess I'll just ditch this mule account, but I'm a bit worried for that email security. Is there a way to withdraw the account now? I couldn't find it on the website.

I'm not even sure I got hacked. My account lost 100mil mesos and 4.1k NX on December 3rd. Someone bought Maple Leaves in the MTS with the NX. All of my equips and items are intact, and those are worth way over 100mil. My PIC is extremely complicated, I haven't logged in for many months, and no one has ever known my information, not since closed beta.

Submit tickets and hopefully something will be done.

I have been a long time since playing ( a bit after the pq revamp until now...) And today I log in to start to do some legend quests for coins and such..... my "best" equipment ( not that godly , only the best I had ) was missing..... best being my 6 % str 3 lined clean pirate overall , 10 atk wg , and 119 atk kc , there were other good equips ( 3 % str shoes , belt , earrings , etc ) but the hacker didn't took them.

It's weird because my main character in nexon web was changed..... and I DON'T share with ANYONE my account ( nobody I know plays maple) , play on public sites , etc etc etc and all of that pomegranate , nobody in hell could have seen my pin

Is there any way I can get out of this? I read nexon web and it seems they won't give me back nothing.... I'm trying tho.... if else I'll delete my acc.... scks to me because I wanted to try the bucc revamp.... but this is pomegranatety as hell..

You have probably fallen victim for the hack that alot of us suffered, looks like some kind of bypass or database breech, so it might not have been your fault.
Nexon has a new policy and they might give you a little "get back on your feet" package with Timeless and Reverse gear + a few other tidbits, if they deem you worthy.

I don't think I can ever get back on my feet , that weapon was thanks to the second ring event... the overall when I still bought nx and the 10 atk wg when they were so cheap long ago.... don't think I can do anything without those items..

Nah it makes sense , it's that leak , no way in hell anyone could have looked my pin here in my home..

Yep, there is. What I did with all of my accounts to put an end to falling into the addiction trap ever again was this: Submit a ticket, select Maplestory, select Account Information (or something similar), and then finally select Account Cancellation. It takes a few weeks to get a response (as expected), but once you do, and submit the extra information, the account will NEVER be accessible again. And it doesn't erase the characters from the rankings either, so it can be a large FU to any hackers or anyone else who wanted to take your gear for their own.


Still having mild regrets... but it is for the best anyway.
