Turf Grass Management. My freshman chemistry lab partner had a major like that. You basically get a job taking care of a golf course or, if lucky, some sort of sports field.

On a side note, he was an idiot. Dear god, was he an idiot.

All majors are useless in this day and age; you are more likely to get a good job if you drop out of high school and get experience while you are young than a college graduate. So, all degrees should be on this list, as they are all completely useless. I should know, I have a Bachelor's in netsec/sysadmin and there are literally no job openings anywhere, and the very few that there are, are taken by people who have no degree but 3-5 years or more of field experience.

I'd sure trust a doctor with no degree in medicine.

Furthermore, Art History needs to go.

As does music history.

Because you can certainly be a chemical engineer without knowing unit operations, advanced math, physico-chemistry, etc.

Probably considering most employment agencies will just make you train under some type of government/private sector system which will do most of the work for you lol.

*Literally no openings in my field in this area.*
There, happy?

Of course you can't. I'm just saying college degrees are obsolete because you can learn all that you need to know faster and better using other methods. The internet makes a lot of things obsolete. The only reason it's still seen as "unverified" information is because a lot of retards out there just go to wikipedia for all of their information instead of more official sources, due to either laziness or blind trust in other people to not screw them.

I think all majors that China is axing shouldn't totally be eliminated. Instead, they should be re-instituted as a minor. A minor in philosophy means you are a critical thinker and pairs well with just about any useful major. A minor in some sort of humanities gives an edge when interviewing for specific positions.

If people wanna learn the majors, then that's their choice to waste their life. I think those majors should be cut off from all sources of taxpayer funded assistance, though.

Also, Politics.
