The 5 pillars of islam doesn't really advocate this type of behaviour, although somewhat unrelated. Nowhere does it say anything in relation to this in the entire Quran, like Rayquaza said.

But when someone's religion has completely thrown something like this out of proportion I won't understand or accept it. The girl was raped. And betrayed by her family, country and religion. When things written down in a book (which may or may not be true, most likely the latter) become more important than your own family. Something isn't right.

This is likely based on the misinterpretation of "Do not approach (the bounds of) adultery" (17:32). However, there are supporting scriptures which clarify this like Heavy punishment has been prescribed for this crime, and the order has not been qualified by any conditions. Since the violation of chastity of a woman is forbidden in Islam, a Muslim who perpetrates this crime cannot escape punishment. (Maudoodi) and During the time of the Prophet (saw) punishment was inflicted on the rapist on the solitary evidence of the woman who was raped by him. Wa'il ibn Hujr reports of an incident when a woman was raped. Later, when some people came by, she identified and accused the man of raping her. They seized him and brought him to Allah's messenger, who said to the woman, "Go away, for Allâh has forgiven you," but of the man who had raped her, he said, "Stone him to death." (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud). Pretty sure Afghan Muslims are of the kind that say "pineapple the prophet's sayings the quran is the only way to go" (which is wrong)

One salient point it seems people have been missing is that the (later) article states her crime was not being raped, but reporting it late. It doesn't say how late but I would assume it was when she discovered she was pregnant. This makes her suspect of willingly engaging in extra-marital sex, which is apparently a crime in Afghanistan.
