Dear Maplers,

To be prepared for the Legends update, MapleStory will be undergoing maintenance on Sunday, December 4, 2011 after the 2x EXP and Drop event. During this maintenance we will be making necessary changes to our servers to better support the upcoming game updates.

The maintenance will last approximately six hours. All servers will be unavailable during this time.

Pacific: 7:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2011 1:05 AM Monday, December 5, 2011
Eastern: 10:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2011 4:05 AM Monday, December 5, 2011

inb4 this does the same thing the previous "preparation for upcoming events" server upgrade did.

Couldn't they have waited till 12:00 a.m.? Dam why right after the 2x.

I think it's safe to say prepare for channel crashes/server instability and a pomegranate ton of server stability sc's in the next few upcoming weeks.

Who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if we see the live version still extremely buggy with no bugs fixed. Was bad enough back when we could easily see the bloody things going down the crapper without having been tested properly.

Probably just going to bring down the servers and then have themselves a nice, ole' dinner at home. One guy stays so he can bring up the servers of course.

This guy so happens to be the highly ambitious intern. It's only 1 key to auto restart the servers. So he`ll be fineee

The update is called Legends. It's just split up into parts.

It appears that they are preparing their servers for the Legends update as a whole so they don't have to do 3 different server upgrades.
But assuming this will turn for the worse, we will need 3 server upgrades to get it right.

Did I get this right?

Finally great times for me. 5am-11am Monday. I will be in school anyways =)

***Update*** The maintenance is taking longer than expected. We now expect to open at 3:00 AM Pacific (6:00 AM Eastern). We apologize for the delay.

I was just going to comment that there weren't any green dots yet on the status page, they usually start appearing an hour or more before the game is up.
