i dont get this skill:

Energy Charge
Description: Whenever you attack, a certain amount of energy is charged. When full, the Body Attack effect and Stance effect are automatically activated, and you can use energy-consuming skills.

bodyattack = like power guard?
stance? so they have stance like 4th job warriors? what percentage? 100%?

and how does the energy work? do you get a bar or something? or orbs count like heroes?

I don't know about the % rate, but yes, like powerguard but 200% the damage and you do get a bar that shows your charge on the screen =].

Can you speed/slow your rate of descent with float by using the up/down arrows like you can with swimming in Aqua?

Energy Charge is like an attack pot, a sniper pill, a dex pill, Power Guard and Power Stance combined into one skill. The Probability refers to the %chance to not be KB'd (Power Stance). The %damage refers to the damage you return to a monster that attacks you (Power Guard, does not reduce damage done to you, but returns more %damage than the original Power Guard), and adds the evasion, accuracy, and attack as noted.

Though, this skill cannot be activated at will. As soon as you put one point into Energy Charge, there is a thin blue bar that appears on your screen. As you damage enemies, the bar fills. When the bar is full, all the affects are activated for the duration denoted by the skill's level (50 seconds at max). During this time, you can also use Energy skills, such as Energy Drain and Buster

I saw the image in someone's avatar but wasn't sure if it was an edit. When you sit while super transformed, does the characters legs actually cross? I saw it and thought "holy crap, that is awesome." but I wanna know if it really happens.

Have some patience. your question wasn't answered in a few hours, ooh wow, that's some fail right there.


As for the rest of you, try not to flame people, even if they're giving incorrect answers. Try to be polite if you need to correct someone. For the people who don't know the answer, don't guess, unless you're going to explicitly state that it is a guess and then explain why you're making that guess so that everyone isn't annoyed into jumping all over you.

Would a Bloodslinger (lolname) build be an option for Corsairs, or would it be better to pump more DEX for better DPS since they have more base HP than Archers and Sins? Assume I'm at Horntail.

From the screens Ive seen, in their 8x~10x, a non-washed Slinger has about 1500 more base HP than their ranged counterparts. That being said, if you want to HT early as a ranged character, a non washed Slinger can go earlier than a non washed Sin / Bowman. But if you are one of those that wants to go at 12x, 13x, or 14x, you will still need to wash a bit (or make a halfbloodSlinger lol).

You wont need to devote a TON of AP into HP (rather than Dex) but it will still be necessary if you are planning on going early

Again, this is based on screens Ive seen a few months ago. I may be mistaken

Im sure the blood slinger build is a viable option. I'm personally not a damage whore, and thius went with the blood build to be able to boss comfortably. I'm pretty sure that the bloood slinger wouldn't need as many points/washes to get to HT a lot earrlier than their ranged counterparts. They get a happy HP boost that the archers and sins are left with...

There's a lot of variation on how much more HP a gunslinger has, but from what i've seen it's only 300-600 more than archers/sins. Not 1500. O_O Though i have seen a 151 captain take 5xxx from paps 1/1, and i don't know how much a 15x archer/sin has at the moment so...

I would just halfblood build it, because dex will probably be a lot more necessary for gunslingers despite their high damage.

Most ranged at HT do decent damage in their 15x or 16x. If they got 5k+ base hp at that level, they won't need to wash at all except for personal reasons.

You can’t alter the vertical distance of float by using the up and down arrow keys. You can only stop yourself from moving forward by pressing the opposite direction to which you are travelling in.
