Enhancement Tiers for Weapons?
#1
I remember seeing somewhere, there was a list of the stat ranges for items and the amount of stats that would be added from a successful enhancement and it was based on stats of the item.

For example, if my bow is 150 Attack unhammered and enhanced it, it'd add 3 Att per enhancement. If it was 160, each enhancement would add 4 Att, etc.

That example is actually my question. I recall one of the weapon attack tiers starting at either 150 or 160 attack and want to get the most bang for my buck. So am I safe to enhance my bow now, or should I hammer and scroll the last two slots before doing so?

1-50 > 1
51-100 > 2
101-150 > 3
151-200 > 4
201-255 > 5

If that's what you meant.

So yes. Scroll to 151+ before enhancing if possible.

Im pretty sure it is
100-149 atk = +3 on enhance
150-199 atk = +4 on enhance
200-249 atk = +5 on enhance
250+ atk = +6 on enhance

I can confirm the 200+ atk since enhancing my 229 m.atk estaff brought it up to m.atk to 234.

Edit; ninja'd xD

Uh i enhanced my sword with 150attack and it went to 154.... its lvl 120 if that makes any differentce (i know it doesnt but just saying)

But does anyone know all the enhancement stats of enhancing weapons and armor. because i saw a pic of someone that enhanced a von glove and it gave +1 attack on like the 1st or 2nd enhancement.

yeah....... someone should tell him that you can only enhance an item that has 0 slots. Or we can just let him find out the hard way. Its not like it will take a while anyway

Re-read the first post, he's asking whether to hammer or enhance first. o-o

why on earth would you enhance before you hammer?
higher base attack gives higher end result.

say you are 60% scrolling a weapon with... 130 attack.

cheaper to just enhance for extra 3 attack, than waste 2 hammers for 4 attack. at least in scania, those hammers can get you another 130 sword (example)

good example is a glaive if you don't have AEE's, but you should have AEE's if you are using 50%/GM's

This is Southperry, yes? Land of reading comprehension?

OP has a 150 attack unhammered bow. He apparently has some technical difficulties hammering and scrolling it right away. This whole thread was him asking whether enhancing now, at 150, would give him the same 4att as he would get if he enhanced at 160.
Respondents reassured him that it would, so he's doing it that way.

say your glaive is 140atk unhammered.
you enhance it 8 times, then scroll again.
4* = 152atk
+4* = 168atk
hammer = 178atk.

now with a hammered 150atk glaive
4* = 166atk
+4* = 182atk

you missed the point, same thing with the thread :S

OP has a 150 UH, he can enhance now, he can do it after the hammers, he'll waste more money if he hammers it first and then it blows though.

also, a glaive reaches 147 when hammered, meaning you can take one to 137 (no hammers) risk the EE scroll 80% chance, and if it works, hammer it to 150
less money wasted if something goes wrong.

I was making hypothetical numbers.
And it is stupid no matter what, to enhance before hammering.

Because using a scroll that can blow your item up is best to use AFTER you spend the most money on it.
I understand where you're coming from, but there are exceptions.

I wouldn't enhance more than once (AEE) without Warding, even on a "mere" 7 GM Scrolled weapon.
But then I'm extremely risk-averse.

Actually wouldn't that exception more than likely be the rule. I mean we have tiers that are set-up in 50 attack intervals with hammering adding (typically) up to 10 attack. From a numbers standpoint you're more likely to not need to hammer first the majority of the time.

Of course we need to factor in starting base attacks. I think we are at a point where a lot of weapons do come in that sweet spot of 105-114 wattk clean (or 5 lower for weapons with 8 slots).

Edit: That's also assuming a small amount of enhancements, the more you add the more likely you get into a higher tier but if we are talking about mass enhances they are typically guarded anyway so preventing a loss of hammers is moot.

if its already 150+atk why would it matter if you hammer or enhance first lol, 150atk+10atk+1enhance=164atk, 150+1enhance+10atk=164atk
