Oh God, Homestuck.

So that thread about Newgrounds crashing (and whoever it is with the Jade avatar) got me just curious enough about MSPA to tuck it in the back of my mind for a few weeks.

And I plowed through Problem Sleuth. Bloody brilliant.

And now there's Homestuck.

OhGodWhy.

I'm somewhere in Act 5 (I think? No spoilers or I end you.) There is so much going on it is hard for my feeble brain to keep up. I have stayed up thoroughly too late several nights in a row now.

I suspect that I would hate myself quite a bit for enjoying it so much if I encountered the more degenerate portions of the fanbase...

Between pomegranate like this, Gunnerkrigg Court, Dr. McNinja, TUNE, The Meek, and Bearmageddon, what other awesome long-form webcomics are there?

I can't, for the life of me, get into Homestuck. Even when everyone talks about it, I don't get what's so great about it.

How far did you read?

I don't remember correctly, but I'm sure like 80 pages in at least.

I quit like after the 3rd page.

There's your problem. The beginning is boring and dull for a lot of people. Keep reading and you'll most likely start lovin' it.

Just check out this awesomeness, put in spoiler-tags for obvious reasons, don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled, and it obviously wont make much sense if you haven't read everything prior to it.

I had to try reading the start 6 times or so to get trough it, but after that it's amazing.

I think it helped that I did Problem Sleuth first. That was a hell of a lot shorter and got goofy very quickly. Was much fun. Gave me appropriate expectations for Homestuck.
Problem Sleuth has a lot less reading too... which was actually kind of nice. All these damn chatlogs.

I read about 1000 pages and didn't really get into it, dunno.

It gets better or so after a thousand or so pages.

I was quite frustrated at Act 5 Act 1. Setting up the trolls was quite a bore to me.

Are there any other webcomic junkies out there? I really do want more things to read :3

-Have fun with Order of the Stick if you hadn't read it already. DnD based webcomic, 816 strips and counting, each strip a good 12-20 panels, with some exceptions of course. Plenty of exposition as well. Better pack a good meal.
-8-Bit Theater is great too if you want god tier trolling from the author. Sprite comic parody of FF1, with lots of wacky stuff going on. 1,224 strips, with some guest comics inserted here and there. Not including the epilogue. Also with tons of exposition like Order of the Stick. There's slightly less panels on average per strip, although that's hardly saying much.
-Bob and George, the king (and grandfather) of all Megaman sprite comics. 2,657 strips, although this time it's usually 4 panels per strip so it'll be somewhat quicker to go through each strip.

What the hell. I only clicked "Post" once.
