Samsung Galaxy Note...I'm in love

Basically an SII, with a screen big enough to easily browse or watch videos with, but still small enough to fit in my pocket, with a "S-Pen" stylus and slightly better specs than SII? DO WANT!

I'm considering getting this, if I can afford it...

They look uber nice but, I feel like they're too big to be a phone and too small to be a tablet, and the mix of sizes just doesn't work for me.

If I wanted to simply draw, I'd just get a sketchbook. There are some pretty small sketchbooks with good paper quality! D:

If I wanted to draw on a screen, I'd save up all my money for a Cintiq. Which I will probably have to do.... a few years from now or so. 24HD plz be under 2k$ when I need to buy you. ;-;

That's just a bonus, for me it's a SII with a bigger screen. But I might just wait out until SIII (or maybe NoteII) and see what that's about.

qq, a phone needing a stylus since the screen is so big.

What is the point of having a gigantic screen on a phone. I understand how useful smart phones can be, but this is getting ridiculous. MINI HD TVs IN OUR POCKET assuming the phone can even fit in it.

No it's more like, we want to stuff everything into 1 device, but... it started with a phone.
That's the path we seem to be going, and eventually this isn't as ridiculous as you deem it to be.

But it's too big to be a smartphone and too small to be a tablet. It seems like a tool for the indecisive.

Large phone? No thanks. If this thing retails for anything more than $199, it's doomed to fail.

lol i like how you guys are limiting the galaxy note to your pocket. Backpack? I know its not cool to carry one around unless its school, but hey their is an option. Also if you are going to be using this mostly when on the go or on the bus you will have some sort of carrying case.

The size does not matter. I see people carrying stupid ipads to concerts to record and take pictures. I see people on facebook using an ipad to take their pics instead of a camera that has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better pixels. I see people using ipads on the bus as an mp3 player. The galaxy Note size is not a problem. Just view it as a high tech note pad.

If I were going to put a phone in my backpack, I'd rather get a netbook/notebook/e-pc. voip and headset, woo. I do admit the stylus idea is fun mostly because I've been using a wacom tablet to browse the internet since early 2000s and my hands usually have graphite on them. Just thinking it's a little on the ridiculous side for a phone to do that.

.... I see a lot of older people carrying iPads around more than younger people funnily enough. Probably because telecom sucks in Canada so I view my mobile as a mostly emergency thing. Maybe just seeing new phones coming out just makes me go "Ah, that looks nice but I'm in Canada. （￣д￣）"

Looks really nice, but in all honesty I thought this was a tablet before I read the comments. If it was a little bigger I'd get it for the tablet aspect, but it's just too big as a phone.

It's Android-powered, I suspect it supports up to 32GB of microSD storage.

This thing is lighter than my myTouch 3G. lol.

It's not an opinion, it's an educated guess based on history mixed with good understanding of business strategies. I could see this thing selling pretty well if it was introduced around $99. Perhaps even $149, but that's pushing it. And to be honest, people that are even interested in tablets are generally going to shop around for the best deals that fit their specific needs, because they are an investment. If it's above $199, people will go buy a Kindle Fire.

There is also the fact that Samsung may not give a pomegranate, while it may be a failure in the eyes of consumers, it could be a gain in their eyes from the money they spent on development compared to how many units sold and the net profit gained.
