Original Dragon Nest Thread
Ugh, crap. Yesterday morning, I was in a cerb hell run on my Priest with this Acrobat and Sharpshooter. The two of them killed cerberus in like 20 seconds, probably faster. Both of them were really reckless while doing it to the point where no amount of healing in the world could have saved them, and died when cerb had like 10% of his last HP bar left, but I was wondering how such speed was even possible.

I just finally realized that it's because of upgraded rare/epic-rank weapons having their special effects activate with skills now. It's not per skill usage, it can apply to everything that hits something. In short, DN is now in a state where multi-hit attacks are favored (like how critical hits worked in Maple pre-Big Bang), and Rain of Arrows is now the most OP thing in existence.

Which is why I gotta get a rare-rank bow or quiver for my Sharpshooter now, because I'd imagine that the power difference between a magic-rank weapon and an upgraded rare-rank weapon is really that freaking huge for Sharpshooters at the moment.

On the note of the Green Dragon Nest update, the new NX clothes for the Warrior and Sorceress look amazing. Cleric got completely shafted again though.

indeed, i like opening with nado and that warrior fighting stance that does like 6hits per second.
Friend on his Paladin did a run with 2 Sharpies and 1 Acro.... Cerb was dead in udner 30s, the poor thing.
Yeah I was wondering how I could somehow kill one of those mino guards in the beginning of cerb with one rain of arrows. I don't even have good equipment /o\.

something worth noting too btw, it seems the debuff if tied to the attack, rather than the hit, for example, my tornado does 3 attacks on everything it's touching, if the second attack triggers the debuff, everything hit by the second attack gets debuffed, it has happened that i've used a huge AoE attack and out of nowhere all the monsters are now debuffed xD
Rain of arrows killed the Mino guards on Hell before I even got to touch them >_>.
Got lucky and got a superb life giving enhancement, also saw a +6 epic staff with intellect, ice attack, and magic damage(crafted on) for 1.4k so I bought it.
Seemed cheap to me.
Got like 150 more intellect from Epic stuff I got off cerb. Had no idea it made such a huge difference, my range went up like 200 o_O
is there a good way to get sparks now? The drop rate of rare sparks seems to be non existant
The weapon abilities activate with skills which is intended. Problem is there's supposed to be a 30~ sec cooldown on them.

i.e. Abuse it while you can for easy dungeons/solos

Is there anyway to know it's activated? Mines is like a 15% chance I think, but I have no idea if it's working or not.
Oh, and anybody know where to get Pasus Extract (lvl 24)? It hasn't been on the market for days, and it's all I need to get magic damage on my grimoire.
All extracts are untradeable now.

Also: WHY PIE. WHY.

@Mibs That's a really good deal for that kind of hidden. If that was fire, I would've bought it too ]:
That's funny. Yesterday, I got that exact same ring with the exact same hidden. Except I sparked it first try on my Mystic.

*waits for everyone to rob my luck*

Lol. Also I'm probably going to get back into DN since now I'm less busy.
That sucks about the extracts lol. I don't even remember which dungeon it comes from.
Used up all my cerb runs and market listings. So sad Sad
Extracts seem to be random now, as are gifts. If you didn't stock up on any before the patch, good luck getting the ones you need now.
Extracts aren't random, they come from the exact same dungeons they used to before, just that now you aren't told which ones they are exactly in the descriptions.

If you knew which they came from before then you'll have no problems now. The ones I know for sure are Potencia from Black Mines, Pasus from Stronghold. That's it, those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head at the moment. Rolleyes Well, I believe Anima comes from Assembly?
The reason why I think they are random now is because before, Anima only dropped from Rockthorn Gorge and Submerged Ruins. Now I've found some from Domain where Sophia used to be, and I think I've found some Pausus at Desolate Isle (another previously Sophia dungeon).

So I don't really know anymore.
It's possible they changed some of them, but I doubt they're random seeing as how I've ran the same dungeons since patch and find the same extracts in them every time; e.g. If I run a dungeon that drops Pasus I'll never see anything other than Pasus.

Edit: Okay, now I see they are actually randomized. Before must've been total coincidence that I was getting the exact same extracts every time.
Farming bunnies is so much more rewarding now Big Grin

I found a Gold Rabbit just now.

No skill plate.
Actually I observed the extract drops some more, and it's starting to seem that Master runs have the extracts drop like usual. Unless the mass amounts of Sophia dropping on my Acrobat during Desolate Isle and Domain runs yesterday were pure conincidence. Abyss runs might be when they are randomized.
