gold box.

Finally someone got an elemental wand/staff from one of the boxes. Either they are really rare or people who get them aren't posting. I was hoping for a big decrease in the price of these.
Heres 100% Confirmation of Rac Mask..

Ive seen at least a Dozen people with them now.. f5.
So much for Rare items.. i think this went down from 200m to like 60m
Question, will keys be available for purchase after the event is over?
So from what I've been hearing about the plentifulness (is that even a word?) of chaos scrolls and such, it seems like the "middle class" of maple got the biggest benefit, while the some of the richest people got destroyed by this event. The price of crystal ilbis seem to be plummeting along with well-scrolled pink adventurer capes and facestompers, to a lesser extent. Also, people with chaos scrolls, taos, etc. stored up for later selling with the idea that the price of them will go up over time probably just suffered losses of at least 1bil. Chaos scrolls were worth like 400-500mil before the event, and now they're like a fifth of their original price. I know someone who has been storing chaos scrolls for a while and had at least 6 of them before the event; I wonder what happened to him =/ I'm not sure what'll happen to horntail groups though... even with maple warrior 20 and genesis 30 going down and such, the groups will have more pendant demand from the people getting rich off opening the chests. Also, all these chaos scrolls going around ultimately just benefits non-magician classes since chaos scrolls can increase weapon attack. Night lords benefit too from the easier to obtain 30-atk stars and cheaper other stars as a result.

I just don't think it's fair for people who have worked hard for their money see their chaos scrolls, taos, 4atk/10luk capes, etc. suddenly plummet in price. Sure, it's better to have those originally rare items less rare now, but if Nexon wanted it this way, it should've thought of that before releasing the items.

I'm happy when prices drop. Don't care if my gear loses value, that just means it's cheaper to replace.

I got a tao through the exchange quest so it is a bit disheartening that they have lost all value and are so easily obtained. But once you get over that i am very thankful for the event. Now they are so cheap and readily available. Forging and upgrading CWK items is actually very feasible now. As for other things like chaos scrolls and PAC's i am also fine with them being increased. A lot more people will be able to buy them now that couldn’t before.

I see your point when you say that it's not fair that people’s items have lost all value but i think it's even more unfair that things cost too much and a lot of people can't afford them. This event should help that in some respects.

The only downside i see is that all the taos will be wasted on making throwing stars.Biggrin

Last 3 events... Not even gonna bother counting how many bill I lost. >_>
I prefer all these items being rare. =/ I wouldn't even mind something like the JMS economy. =(
that's why i invest in iTCG =D still got some FS and SCG
Right, I'm going to say this now. This topic is for listing items that come from chests, and isn't about whether or not this is a good idea/fair idea. If you feel that strongly, then post in the Pits of Hell about it.

So, drop the pointless bickering about how this event should have been done please.
Here a ss to confirm white scroll from gold box got it on my first one,

Lol? Sorry, but that's how free market capitalism. Take a look at the real world. The economy sucks now, and there are people losing thousands to millions of dollars. Is it fair that they lose all of this hard-earned money? Of course not, but that's the price you pay for having a globalized market. In such an economic society it's extremely easy to make a ton of money, but this is the price you pay - if one little thing goes wrong, or the equation is changed somewhere down the line (ie Nexon adding this event to MapleStory to MS's economic equation), then the whole economy is thrown up to the wind, and people WILL LOSE MONEY.

Unless you want some fascist/communist economy where everyone just gets 100m a week or something like that, this is how it is going to be. In the end, everyone loses SOMETHING with economic turmoil like this, but it's the people who choose to spend their time trying to make the best of the situation by making smart investments, opening bank accounts not tied to the stock market, etc., that will suffer the least. Don't waste time peaching about how things shouldn't be, accept what you can't control, and try and work it to your advantage.
Yeah, but unlike in the real world, Nexon has the power to control things about the market in maple. Unfortunately, it had to completely destroy the economy of rare items just to make a quick buck.
Not that it matters,(I think its already been posted) but I found tao of shadows, Dragon staff, pineapple chew, and gelt chocolate. Tongue

Anyways, after the event, do you guys think the prices will go back to normal?

Edit: Also, does anyone how long the gacha box event will last? (I didnt say it on the site)
Hmm... Raccoon Masks, Elemental Equips, and scrolls?

Nexon is just getting greedy. Tongue Like if the Event Mini-dungeons wern't enough.

On the other hand, I could be benefiting from this. Smile
Could it be that the boxes give different Prizes when used in different maps? (Excluding FM)
[SPOILER=Undine's Cloth, Gold Chest.][Image: Maple0022.jpg]
I got a silver box from evil eyes on my Warrior. I'd get the SS but, I'm to lazy to do that. :x

That would be perverse, and rather difficult to prove or disprove.

Cool, let's start a rumor about it! Wink
I got Sharp Eyes 20 from a Gold box, sorry I completely forgot to take a ss. Eek
