Technically called truncating (honestly I first learned about that in programming, not math), and that only applies to the tool tip. The actual bonus value is a decimal, so you're still getting your gold's worth of bonus damage on a linear scale instead of leaps and bounds.

Also, isn't it more like 200 AP for +1%, and 400 AP for +2%? (300 AP = +1.5%)
I had an idea for an MF Buff.

Make her passive a stacked thing, like graves passive. Make it regenerate over time like it does now, but show the stacks. Only champions can knock her stacks off, with any skill or autoattack, and it would be 1 stack per attack.
This way you wouldn't try to chase up a kill in lane and get hit by a minion, or get caught in a fight and get BAM 300 movespeed.

Im guessing 7 stacks since its + 70 movespeed, or it could be buffed to 10 and be 400 movespeed (or is that kinda op lol)

I dunno, her passive its more for escaping or getting to your lane faster or something, not exactly to chase, othewise you would not lose the passive with a hit.

Even vayne whose passive its for chasing, only get 40ms from it (120 with her ult on)

MF also have a AoE ranged slow which makes the chasing a little easier, vayne doesnt (Unless you buy a phage/frozen hammer)

Even so, with MS Speed Quints and +3 Boots she could get to other lanes awfully fast Q_Q.

Well i mean like...

ok example: me and my friend did a 1v1 earlier and i went mf. At 1 point my friend is low on mana so i start to poke him. I only get 2 hits because he naturally runs back and i get hit by a minion and lose 70 ms, meaning he made too much distance for my auto attacks.

Plus if there was an example of in lane when you wanted to harrass or trade and the opponent has boots 2 while you only have boots 1, you can end up losing a kill because of that loss of 70 ms.

and you're not going to be escaping much with 300 movespeed :x...

Who Vayne or MF? Im guessing MF since Vayne doesnt even get the bonus ms unless theres an enemy champ nearby (1200 range or something i forgot)

Oh. I meant Vayne, but I didn't realize her passive only worked when enemy champions are nearby Rolleyes (I guess it would be broken otherwise).

I guessed the game I played a while ago had a very sneaky Vayne >_> (ganked before we even noticed she was gone).
I think the first thing they need to do with MF's passive is make it so only champion attacks can remove the speed bonus. It's rather silly that a minion tick can remove all that movespeed.
Also at the Vayne/MF comparisons: MF's Make it Rain is a pretty terrible skill and you barely get a chance to get the full effect of the slow because the range is rather lacklustre. Vayne on the other hand gets a massive movespeed buff from her passive and ult as well as a gapcloser that she can go into stealth with (when ult is on). In most cases she's able to catch up and Condemn from the side so they crash into a wall and get stunned.

I'm not really sure what they can change with MF to make her more viable without pushing her to OP status but they definitely should change how her passive is removed at the very least.
I Agree with the minion removing the full effect, but as a tradeoff the bonus should be totally removed by a enemy champion attack or if MF uses an ability or AA. Its only fair me thinks.

Or make it contrary of the vayne passive, MF gets the bonus speed if there is not a single champion around (She gains the speed over time) OR if shes running away from a champ (She gets an instant half of the speed or something along those lines), nothing about removing the movespeed from an attack or something.

That would be true...but I think the tooltip says otherwise. Looking back at my explanation...er hold on

Edit: I just ran calculations to make sure I wasn't tripping somewhere, and I really goofed up on one little spot. I meant to say that Despair's bonus % damage values are rounded up to the nearest whole values when enhanced with AP (tooltip wise). Apologies for messing up. ><

At 100 AP: 0.005 x 100 = 0.5% --> 1%*
At 300 AP: 0.005 x 300 = 1.5% --> 2%*
(At 500 AP: 0.005 x 500 = 2.5% -> 3%, if anyone wants to know)

* = both calculations were confirmed visually in game

Anyways:

Played a great game as lux again :3
low on hp... koggles spots me and my team after a team fight (he wasn't in it) and comes in to kill me (he's at full)... Time to man the fk up! Turn around and fire Q E(I don't explode it) and R.

Koggles gets popped by just the Q and R. Our whole team lols since that koggles could've quadra'd us if I died.

My last 2 ranked games oh my god what the pineapple. I duoed with a guy I met in ranked and he knows how to play, first game the other 3 guys on our team fed hard, they were 1/7 vayne, 1/8 Cho and 1/10 Malzahar, we were trynd and rumble but couldn't do anything against super fed enemy. Then the second game we're in champ select and this dude gets randomed annie and his q partner says his comp crashed and that the queue will cancel anyway so he picks evelynn with smite and revive, then even after we told him to quit he doesn't and the game starts, this one was our mistake for not quitting queue too but he should've done it when it was his q friend, we started a game 4v5 with evelynn jungle revive. We got super raped and they won around 20 mins in.

Lets just say your idea about getting Bloodrazors on Amumu is not only ridiculous, its just completely illogical. Also, its a huge waste of gold; that 3800 gold could go to at least 1-2 fully built defense items. And on top of that, Amumu is not that great at racking up large amounts of gold.

And about Zhonyas: I don't see getting Zhonyas as just adding 1% to his Despair. I look at the bigger picture to see what the item could offer to me overall.

I'll leave it at that. Unless you're willing to clarify some of the things you're saying without trying to incite an argument with me. (Take out the Bloodrazor idea btw; it doesn't work at all). Your choice.

Saint/Regi/Doubl/Dyrus/Xspec are VSing v8. v8 went 5 Tele/Revive, they all went Bot to kill Doubl + Xspec and push bot like no tomorrow, but they ended up giving Doubl a Penta.

It was 32-4 by the 17min mark, they gave up and intentionally gave Dyrus a "Deca kill" lol.

I was already under the impression that it was a terrible choice... but I wanted to see if for SOME reason (due to his passive reducing MR) it MIGHT be worth it to get in extra damage since you'll want to auto attack (in between skills/chasing to keep up the passive on enemies.

I said I'd try it for the hell of it. Never planning on going serious with it unless it was (by that weird chance) an actual option.

In the case of zhonya's: 1% more damage per second. It's adding roughly 37% more damage to his despair (going from 2.7% to 3.7%). I get more defense. And I get to go invulnerable if something bad happens. Sounds like a lot of benefit.

K, Madreds doesn't work on most champs early game as a first item. It's a great late game item against tanky dps and tanks, but early game, you'd be better off going early wit's end if you want to up your auto attack damage with some magic damage. However even that damage is supbar compared to your aoe damage as amumu. It's never better to focus one target when you could be focusing down an entire team via the massive aoe damage that amumu's skillset gives you.

For Zhonyas, you have to remember that it will take a long time to farm up with one item that's rather useless for surviving, and the other with better tank options to build into. Now if you're up 10 kills and 20 assists with like 1 death or something ridiculous like that, by all means, get damage and pwn more. In almost all other cases, more resists, health, armor, etc. are going to do more for you. Your goal is to force the enemy team to blow you up, or you'll do massive DoT via crying and tantrum. The problem with going zhonya's first, or even second or third item, is that you can get better stats out of other items, for a fair cheaper price and more utility. Pick up a negatron and chainmail after you get your philo and hog or catalyst and you're already doing pretty well. Or straight up go aegis if your team needs it. Any of those options early on will beat a rushed zhonyas, and getting zhonyas after that still pales in comparision to grabbing a guardian angel, frozen heart, fon, banshees, etc. I guess you could go rod of ages or abyssal, but generally as amumu, you're not trying to carry via sheer damage, instead you're enabling others to get kills via your skills.

Edit: Also, as Ammumu, you should be tanking and peeling targets from your carries, zhonyas makes the opposite happen. Once you pop it, they focus down your carries instead of you. If you're carrying hard then I guess you could go it, but again, you should be trying to feed kills to whatever ad or ap carries so that they can blow up the enemy team even faster or get their late game items faster.
