Doesn't make sense for them to be preset anyway.
If they're preset they could be part of the familiar's stats.

Ours being temporary is exactly why we can expect these to cubing sinks.

Eh i guess so. The only other one i can think of is android hearts, and these last for up to 90 days, so cubing a familiar and having the potential for 90 days wouldn't really be that terrible.
Permanent is the only way i would actually do that though.
