Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword [SPOILERS]
Sarah Wrote:You downloaded it too? Gross, Loose. Gross.
Doesn't mean I'm not going to buy this awesome game when it's released. Besides, it's the only way I can play games on my Wii now. The stupid thing won't read discs half the time, and it won't even read ones that are dual layer.

My Wii is ancient and having younger, careless brothers didn't help it age well. : \

What is this I don't even...

Gamespot gave it a... 7.5...

Gamespot is retarded anyway.

They bashed Skyward Sword because it still resembles the same "Zelda formula" that has worked for 25 years, yet they praise Modern Warfare 3 for "sticking to its roots."

There are so many things retarded with their review, it's not even funny. Just the fact that their review of the game doesn't match the score is proof enough of their inability to give good reviews.

Game critics as a whole must have the highest frequency of unprofessional people out of all the dang possible jobs under the journalism umbrella. Way too many of them are not even above simple bloggers. *spits*

Holy pomegranate anyone who complains about a reviewer should be shot. Grow the pineapple up and get over it. A bad review means jack pomegranate. Your stupid franchise isn't perfect, no matter what franchise it is. I'm so sick of the internet over-reacting to bad game reviews.

well, i don't know if i should cancel my pre-order, because the company that is doing me the transportation of the game from USA to Venezuela is telling that sending it by plane cost a freaking amount of 40$ (20$ when we negotiated), the other option is to send it by sea but it would last like 3 weeks until it arrives, so i guess i will cancel it and just buy it here for 70$ here at one week after release (in bolivars not dollars so i can save my 300$ electronic dollars for something else).

I don't give a rotten fig about how they view any one game, it is the stinky writing and lousy journalism that ticks me off. It's like anyone with a blog thinks he/she is a legitimate critic these days.

Reviews have never meant pomegranate because it doesn't matter what they think, it's what you think that matters. I've seen games get pomegranate from reviews left and right, yet I sit down and play the game and I'm like, ''Man, this pomegranate is awesome''. There's many games that get good reviews yet I find to be utter horseshit.

There is no professionalism when it comes to game reviews because it's always the writer's complete opinion, there's never any actual points the game has to pass to get a good review. If the writer personally likes it then he'll give it a good review, but if it's not to his liking then he'll say it's absolute garbage.

In conclusion: Never give the social tards known as ''video game reviewers'' any ounce of your attention.

People like to follow social consensus. They also like to bash those who stray from that consensus. Simple as that. Gamespot is all over the place in terms of review scores, but in general, western gaming sites are more biased towards western developers imo. Most probably because over the past decade they've strayed from the game making formula the Japanese established the decade preceding.

I honestly don't know why reviewers don't work with a panel system, like Famitsu does. That way, they get the least biased review possible since they're taking into consideration the thoughts of at least 3 different people. It's not like a lot of these sites and magazines don't have the staff.

People actually read only one review and not Metacritic? LOL

I always read IGN's reviews first. Dunno why. They've always seemed pretty honest and straightforwad in what they say if you ask me. Their review for Zelda put a lot of emhpasis on how fresh and memorable all of the story and characters are, and how revolutionary and perfect the combat is. My body is definitely ready.

So guys, which perfectly good video games should I give to Gamestop so I can pick up my $70 pre-order? Daddy needs to save that cash to buy the new Jordan 3's next week.

You guys are forgetting that nearly every major review site has given MW3 a higher score than Skyward Sword. Activision s'hits out a new Call of Duty game every single year and manages to reel in high scores every time? Yeah. Seems legit.

It has been 5 years since Twilight Princess was released. Just take it for what it is. I doubt Gamespot's SOEDGYLOOKATUSGUYS review score will stop anyone from playing lol.

IGN's scores have always been harsh on games. I'd usually consider giving a a game a try with a review of like 7 from them. On top of that, I can't find any reviews that give MW3 a better score than Skyward Sword, except Gamespot's.

On that note, I've finally beaten it. Was it amazing? Abso-pineappleing-lutely Did I enjoy it more than Ocarina of Time? To be honest, I'm not sure. I've posted some spoiler free impressions below, but it's in a spoiler because I know how you guys are sometimes.

I might've been off. But even so, MW3 should not be scoring as high as it is. It's the same multiplayer game each year with a tacked on story that no one gives a damn about.

Fark yea! My copy of the special edition has been sent. I will have it by tomorrow.

I just finished my second playthrough of The Wind Waker, and I have to say, it is actually the best zelda game ever in my opinion, despite being ridiculously easy. Now let's see if Skyward Sword can beat that.

Also, I kind of disagree on that:
Berzerk Wrote:but the game felt way too easy overall

I think you're speaking too much like a true hardcore gamer on this one. Most reviewers said it was "the hardest zelda since SNES", and some of them even admitted dying at some point. Do I need to remember you that pretty much all of the zelda games consisted in spamming a button until the ennemies die? Motion plus adds a whole new dimension to fighting, and I would definetely put the difficulty level in the good aspects of the game, instead of the bad ones. I agree with you though, this is still not hard enough to some people, but it is definetely a nice step up.
