You'll also get to meet up with some of the artisans, followers, and other key characters from Sanctuary, and try out the game's skill and crafting systems.

At the same time, you'll be helping us test the stability of the Battle.net® service and fine-tune the game balance prior to launch.

We also invite you to share your Diablo III beta experience with the world! All participants can take screen shots, capture video, and/or publicly disclose information about their beta test experience.

We look forward to hearing your feedback, and we'll see you on Battle.net!

Seems like these 10 free days are gonna be spent doing achievements all over the place! I found out some new guy in the guild is also an achievement whore and he surpassed my 11.5k points while I was away. At least it gave me an excuse to finish Vashj'ir!

Also, I never realized ZG was even hard to begin with lol. Did a run yesterday afternoon and my group went through 4 tanks, 3 healers, and 1 DPS before we finished the instance.

thats because there is too many people joining the dungeon on blue gear. I think thats because of hallowen/brewmaster event, where you could get 2-3 ilvl 365 gear. now they have enough ilvl to queue, fking up with the dungeon.

other day i was doing a ZA, i was top DPS of the party, as tank, was sad...

I think you can also get in with a full set of blue PVP gear. Which isn't exactly a good thing.

I fucking hate random dungeons almost as much as I hate random BGs.

Random dungeons will have me, a pretty decently geared good Mage doing great DPS, someone doing okay DPS, probably average, and then some idiot doing 4-8k DPS (yes. 4 to 8k.) because they're either in PVP gear, have shitty 333s or 316s, and/or don't know how to play their char.

Tanks usually aren't a problem. Sometimes they're not pro but they still usually get the job done fine.
Healers are usually okay enough with faceroll but some bosses like the underground Kilnara cat boss, it shows if your healer sucks and it's a problem.
DPS usually always suck. WHich is sad because they have the easy job.

But I haven't done a dungeon in like a month since I got all my VP gear.

Will you stop saying that!? CIS is NOT Computer Science! It's networking and problem solving!

I'm getting real tired of people assuming CIS is a programming major, when it's far from.

hmm i do that to my friend all the time, i wonder how much he hates it...

on another note, i dunno if you guys are on the ptr as well or following updates about it, but I did the second new heroic last night, well of eternity i believe it is called, and i thought it was great. You are guided through the dungeon by Illidan and he occasionally will give you a buff or stealth to move through the instance. Its a 3 boss dungeon without a ton of trash so its a really nice change from how long zg/za can take. The first boss is kinda interesting as he has a transition phase in which you go invisible and he sends out eyes to search for you. There are a few pillars you can use to hide from the eyes. If you are spotted by the eye the boss will stun that player for 8 seconds. However if all 5 people hide for 40 seconds, you get some huge buff or something that basically ends the fight. It seems pretty hard to actually hide for that long due to how many eyes there are. Second boss is fighting 8 mages, two at a time. Lots of AoE and one party member will get mind controlled every so often. Not too hard of a fight, bit annoying to tank since they are casters and kinda spread out when the spawn. Last boss was kinda cool, there are two bosses actually, the first guy is just tank and spank with lots of fire you have to dodge, just like the first boss in BH. After you kill him you fight some adds for a bit, watch out for the hellfire here, it caught us off guard and we almost wiped. After you kill the adds you get a huge damage buff to kill the second boss who has health similar to a 10man raid boss i believe. It was just attack the boss, an npc tanks for you so the healer and tank are just dps for this part. Nice healing trinket dropped and a decent 2h mace. You get a quest to complete the third heroic which rewards some nice plate dps boots and a few other things i can remember. Over all a very fun heroic, could use some tweaking on difficulty i think, a little too easy other than the hide and seek mechanic on the first boss, but maybe we were just doing that part wrong.

Omg at your wall of text Korey. I'll respond and read it in a sec.

NEW BLIZZ CARD CONTEST.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/3955876..._2011#blog

Uhhh design a greeting card. If anyone is familiar with photoshop or some other program and would like to work with me, we can make 2 cards together and each submit one, but you'll have to help with the actual designing, I'll think of a nice idea.

haha, i did my best to keep it short cause i knew no one would read it other wise.

Third heroic, hour of twilight, is either super super under-tuned or my group had the best healer to ever live. I'm going with under-tuned. Keep in mind that for the PTR all player's gear is scaled back to 353 item level, so its not a case of out gearing the content. The first boss has an interruptable nuke that hits the tank for 50k or so, my 10 second cd interrupt couldnt get it every time but not a big deal. There are also boulders being thrown at the group, simply move out of the blue indicator on the ground. The boss will cast chains of ice on you randomly, so dispel that or be like my group and get hit by nearly every single boulder and not have it matter since they seemed to do 5k. Break Thrall out of the ice tomb so there are less boulders being thrown, or once again like my group dont and just dps the boss like a badass mage pulling 5k would....

Second boss throws a dagger at casters which silences for 5 seconds if they are hit, so they need to keep a tank or melee dps between them and the boss. The boss also drops a smoke cloud that does damage and maybe some debuff, not sure just move out of it.

Last boss, not really sure what he does since i dc'd 5 seconds after the pull. I reconnected with the boss at 50% hp. Only move I noticed was a big shadow wave, similar to the cat boss in za, but it covers half the room and moves very very slow. So make sure your mage doesnt move and mess up their 5k dps, the priest can life grip them to safety.

honestly, I would bother with it. The heroics are easy enough that learning them before they come to live isn't going to do anything for you and looking for raid is too easy and filled with trolls. Unless you can get enough people from your guild/server to run a normal 10/25 man raid, just wait for live.

Yeah my guild does 10 man raid all the time. I heard they're 1/7H on PTR or some pomegranate.

Guild is going to raid the PTR until the patch rather than work on heroic rag =P. The leader is trying to get a leg up on the rest of the server.

imo, the final boss shouldn't be on PTR, blizzard should test it with their developers, and when the patch comes live, make a surprise.

i bet, right now, guilds like vodka, paragon, etc, are "farming" the normal mode of deathwing raid, and when it is released, they clean it on the first week.

that's what happened with firelands, some guilds cleaned normal mode in the same week the patch got released.

If final boss wasn't on PTR they wouldn't be able to test it.

It's funny though because the way it seems is they ask specific good guilds to try out and comment on the bosses/content. Like, my guildies said they were watching a stream of a guild kill some boss that wasn't open yet and they were even allowed to have advertisements lol.

And stfu that is a list of ideas for me to go by for the new card contest! I must learn how to edit and win.

they could test it inside blizzard HQ? im pretty sure they can do it.

I saw complaints on the PTR forum that Hour of Twilight was way undertuned.

I haven't personally done any of the PTR 5-mans yet, but I probably will soon. Too busy grinding tailoring on my main. Sad
