I'm curious about the story, since this is chronologically the first game and Hyrule seems to be in a chaotic state, makes me wonder if we'll hear any mention of the goddesses. It's been a while since they've had any direct story elements, only a bunch of small references here or there.

ShiKage Wrote:The CD was leaked as well, apparently. It's all over Youtube - but I think that's because Switzerland already has the game at retailers for sale, a week before Europe was supposed to start selling 'em.
Did my recording posted in this very thread go unnoticed? I had "leaked" it too, granted what you posted was better quality. I also bet that like the first recordings uploaded to YouTube, those will be taken down not long from now as well; at least until a week or so after the game is released, at which point they will get lazy at the sheer number of people posting.
Also, ignoring the better part of this thread for the same spoiler reasons for the rest of you. Didn't watch the second video for the same reason.

It wasn't a recording, the user uploaded the CD that comes with first editions of the game.

Those were recordings of the live concert, though. The CD was leaked yesterday or the day before.

Ah, ok then. Only a tad miffed at myself for running into the difficulty trying to upload it, and have it see a limited reception. (Was on the iPhone of someone who went with me, and in addition to finding the time to borrow it, I know next to nothing about macs). Should have known people would be patient for the real thing. But I am in full agreement about getting the game so early compared to the rest of the people who have it preordered, and I guess that is just one side aspect of it.

Beat the second Dungeon. Second boss battle is insanely fun. It's based off a new mechanic introduced in the second area. That's all I'll say without spoiling it. :x

My brother is playing this game on his wii and he is spoiling me almost everyday and i have to wait 6 more days for my zelda, 4 for shipping in USA and 2 for fedex on plane (yes i paid plane transport for a freaking game).
And i saw a review and it says something i would like to agree with:

Wouldn't that technically mean that it's his personal best zelda game ever, or even personal best game ever, considering that he's having the most fun playing that game over the span of his video gaming life?

I have to agree. That's some bad writing right there. I hope that is something like a small blog, because if not, I pitty the one hiring him. Or maybe something was lost in the translation.

Actually what he is trying to say is that it isn't the best game ever because we can't compare it to another games like halo/mario/GOW (god and gear)/etc, because if we say it is the best game ever, we would be probably lying because not everyone likes zelda (sad but true) and no every one loves FPS (for example me).
It's not the best zelda game because some people love ocarina, others TP and even windwalker, for example my first zelda game was oracle of seasons and i like it more than minish cap and i liked more TP than ocarina (I cleared TP first , so yeah).
And at the last part he is being sincere to us saying that it is the first game to fill up the first expectations we had about the wii, when we saw the first time we believed that the character was going to do the same move as us, but then we saw TP and yeah we got scammed and it still repeats on other games like monster hunter tri, etc, but now with the wiimotion plus we see a nice relation between player action-character(link in this case), plus the difficulty of the mobs/new puzzles and it's a zelda game and we know zelda games have nice music, nice story and yeah in less words epicness. So in general what he says is that he is being sincere that this game is the best using the wii characteristics and it refreshed the zelda games (something very needed), to the point that this game feels just like how we felt playing our first zelda game (Btw i played this game for 2 hours today, my brother won, i failed to resist and i felt like playing oracle of seasons).

So, a little update on my playthrough. I'm 32 hours in, and there's no end in sight. I'm sure this is very good news for some of you.

Yeah, you still have about another 10 hours in store for you (going by the reviewer average).

This game is awesome and I haven't gotten to the serious stuff.
Glad I'm able to play it before my uMvC3 gets here. Otherwise, I don't know how I would've been able to balance both games.

That is, if you're rushing the game without doing any sidequest =P

Finally got around to picking up a new sensor bar today in preparation for this. Need to stock up on batteries though since it's wireless. Either way... I am ready now. Four days to go.

Just shook off the fear of even searching Zelda for spoilers to find out that the CD only contains 8 out of the 16 "tracks" played at the actual concert. (Including Kondo's piano solo).
Those skipped;
Hyrule Castle: Been done, no big loss. (Not Recorded)
Princess Zelda's Theme; Again, been done some, but was nice; though I admit the great fairy's theme was new and gave the same mellow feeling. (Not Recorded)
Ocarina Melody Suite; Not too surprised considering it was performed in a way to introduce the orchestra, but it seems like such a loss missing out Saria's theme at the end of that. (In my recordings part one, at 23:30, wait for it to pick up)
Boss Battles; Again, not too surprising. It was just an arrangement with no real originality to it. (Part one, 26:30)
Gannondorf's Theme; Would've liked to have had this one, even if there wasn't much change to it. (Not recorded)
Shorts Suite; I wish I wasn't distracted by trying to get a shirt and this was so quiet to remember this. I'm fairly certain it had several Majora's mask tracks I would've loved to have had recorded. (Not recorded T.T) EDIT: I remember at the very least the track from the debate of whether to flee with family or stay for tradition with the moon falling in the mayor's office was in here.
Hyrule Field; Been there, done that. (Not recorded)
Wind Waker's Gradma Theme Piano Solo by Kondo himself; What can I say, it was more publicity than anything, but not a bad piece mind. (Part two, 19:45 [I'll remind you here that my voice is never heard in this recording, but there was a bit of speaking picked up on this track since it was so quiet.])
And yeah, I'm still postin bout the music. I'm blacking out most of the thread as is at least until I beat the game myself, then I might contribute more the the main topic. I believe I skimmed past mention of the order of the games; and once I'm willing to read the thread, I'd like to know about that too.
