Explain any reasonings you may have.

Assumption of when hype dies down: Around december~ish.

I said over 75% because a huge overwhelming amount of people will be making pirates and 75% isn't really too much...of course I think the hype dies around February.

Basically that. Same with any new servers.

I'm gonna see if I enjoy it more than playing my Shadower. But, I'm guessing around half of the people to 75% will quit their Pirate.

I think quite a lot of people will keep playing their pirates, but I'm hoping that not too many will.. Eek

I said about 75% because most people who want to try it want to because of all the skills but won't be able to cope without a single skill to spam. I know I'm gonna get to 40 at least though.

i plan to be one of the few that stays with their pirate. i want to be one of the first 200 Pirates(although, i'm not set for that. i have no funds to lvl that fast)

Probably around half. Personally, my Pirate will be my main.

pirates are not awsome as people think. they are just overhyped. about a month or even less after pirates come out, the hype will die (becuase all the people would see how regular and not-that-awsome pirates really are) and only the hardcore maplers will continue playing their pirate.

the only really good thing that i want about pirates is that they will be HUGE help in bosses (+3 booster ftw?)

I'm hoping that most find it all to hard and stop playing their pirate, well gunslinger anyway. Dont care if lots make a Brawler. Rolleyes

i agree what most are saying . in the fact that i think a lot of people will join then see that it wasn't as they thought it was and then leave. another majority reason why they would leave is cause they find that for infighters you cant really spam one skill in 2nd job. also just like normal classes the majority don't always make it to 3rd nor 4th job unless they put up with the hell levels or pay for leech during them.

I said probably close to half would quit, mainly because I think once people realize that the classes are not ridiculously overpowered and just as hard to train as everything else the fun will die. Personally, I think there will be roughly equal amounts of gunslingers to infighters and frankly at least in bellocan I wish there were none of either so I could buy cheap equips xD

i for one will most likely quit it after the "hype period" ... which i'm making a pirate just for the "hype" anyway...

i've already been quite inactive lately ... over 2 months with my 121 bowmaster too...

I don't understand how people can "quit" a character. I've got a sniper, cleric, sin and page. Sure, I play the sniper more than the others but I never "quit" any character...

Heck, I'm pretty sure that when I eventually drift away from the game, I still won't have "quit".

Everyone who doesn't have strategy will quit pirates, and that's around 75% of the Maplestorian population.

Once people realize that Nexon made 4th job pirates more powerfull then -any- other jobs (takes a few months to get some people to 4th job), the second wave of pirates will come to Maple...

Transforms + Battleships running around = zOMG I want to be a pirate too and pwn everyone else!!!!!!!

Although there will be lots of players who don't even reach lvl 50 and quit Smile

Most of the people making one are just checking it out I would assume. I would think only about 20-25% are actually serious about keeping their pirate as their main.

I'd say more then half because people would be bored, and woulnd probably want to remake another character.. I think people are only making pirates because they wanna try it out.
