It's not bad, just complicated. The rotation is real finicky compared to Combat / Assassin.

yeah. the mechanics are the same as normal ragnaros(beside traps that leave a raid debuff) just the dmg is like 50% higher.
We just need to get past the molten seeds adds, I think our hunter isn't aoe'ing enough to take them down :|

Yeah, it's a bit disappointing how they added ONE thing out of the 3 phases, which is miniscule now.
I think Kina from L2R put it nicely:
"An 18 minute long fight and 10 minutes are spent just getting to the hard part."

yeah, the only "hard" part is the 4th phase, all others are the same, and the 3rd phase is a DPS race so you only have 1-2 living meteor in the room.
I think our problem is we don't have enough aoe dps to kill the elementals that summon after the molten seeds. they always reach the raid burning healers mana :S

My guild is having the same problem. Molten Seeds too good for them. Although considering 4.3 is right around the corner, I'm not surprised if they're not putting too much effort into it lol.

I don't know how your guild schedule works, but our group schedule is pretty short, 2 days/week, raiding 2 hours on friday, 3-4 hours on sunday.
with 4.3, we are probably going to stop doing firelands and work on the new raid, our mage is already complaining because he won't finish his legendary staff lol.

The fight is definitely not the same. The 2nd phase is crazy with that buff the adds get and the 3x world enflame or whatever it's called.
We started the night barely able to take out the 1st set of molten seed adds and ended it burning lust into phase 3. pretty awesome. It's too bad no one is keeping logs cause you guys should see the damage our group does. Everyone is above like 24k on rag
We're going again tonight. I don't know if we'll kill him (I seriously doubt it) but we'll make a lot of progress. If I got firelord tonight I wouldn't be able to stop smiling for like 2 days.

you always lust on phase 3 because of the living meteor, if you start phase 4 with 3 or more living meteor, its a wipe.
I found easy to avoid the world of flames, just the adds are fucking us up on that phase.

What's different in P1? Nothing, the "debuff" means nothing.
What's different in P2? Nothing, except a positioning change.
What's different in P3? Nothing, it's still a DPS race.

We handle the debuff by not popping a trap when we have the debuff on
P2 is COMPLETELY different since you can not let the adds touch you while they're together and engulf happens 3 times. Sometimes a 4th engulf will appear during the first set but this is actually a fake engulf.
Phase 3 is the same. Just has a higher DPS requirement.

The debuff only delays you from popping traps the second they appear. Nothing changes about the fight otherwise.
The add change is debatable as it forces you to stack the raid and move in perfect sync, but the actual phase doesn't change other than positional changes.
