Oh my. Was Jellal executed between then and now? Given how much Mashima loves Jellal, he'll be probably be brought back to life/in the plot with clones, resurrection, Mystogan, and/or other absurd plot devices.

Time skips seem to be becoming the norm in shonen manga, huh?

Ah, I didn't respond to this back then, but time skips were never new in shonen. Fist of the North Star had a time skip, Dragonball had timeskips, and technically Jojo's Bizarre Adventure does, but it's different in Jojo because it's between completely different story arcs with different protagonists. I wonder, but if there's anything you can really blame for the popularity of time skips in the bigger shonen manga today, it's probably Dragonball. Toriyama was a huge influence for shonen authors today, especially Oda and Kishimoto.

Natsu/Happy kept savings, but they were in a safe which was apparently stolen. Plus, there hasn't ever been a *bank* shown as such, there have been merchant guilds, like the one lucys dad went to work at, Love and Lucky, but even if they did have a large amount of money, would you plan 7 years of rent in advance? I doubt it, and most of fairy tail seemed to rent out places instead of owning a house themselves.

When people say no-one dies in fairy tail, they mean the good guys A fair amount of the baddies get killed on screen.

More like half the main guild takes a crazy mission to pay rent and fix up guild tavern.

Again, I really liked this chapter, but I think it sux Makarov and the other girls could beat the whole Twilight Ogre so easily. That's to say that Makao and the remaining members of FT are still a bunch of weaklings even after 7 years (I hoped something else was holding FT from fighting TO and maybe that'd be the start of a new arc).

Well Twilight Ogre sucked anyway, their main 5 guys got beat instantly by everyone once they came back . Another nice chapter cant wait for the next one unless its them just going on their mission to get food money.

Nah byakugan, marakov elza and demon Mira are among the top 5 strongest people in the guild right now and those guys were clowns. They really outnumbered makao and the rest, not to mention makao kind of sucks.

Now, I might have gotten which key s lucy has mixed up, but aren't the two missing zodiac keys the ones for Libra (The scales) and Pisces (The fish)? Neither seems very tigery. Of course, it could be a regular silver key I suppose.

Nah, there are some strange Lacrimas that allow people to use Dragon Slayer magic.

Gildartz being guild master, I expected gildartz to die or not get chosen because he was always out and busy but he's a great candidate. Wonder what they saw was.

I'm unsure about it but is Rouge Zeref or what ? Same look, looked up to Natsu, Dragon Slayer. Maybe he is someone else introduced in earlier chapters that I didn't read yet? (Like Sting) or maybe since the council doesn't know Zeref's appereance they didn't know thats him, even though Doranbalt should know.

Why is Makarov choosing this time to select Gildarts as his next successor? I hope he doesn't leave the guild right now. And I'm really looking forward to Wendy's counter part.

Gajeel didn't have a Cat for longer than wendy has been alive. Having or not having an exceed isn't really proof or not of being a true dragon slayer. Though I do think that they are real dragon slayers. Also i'm thinking maybe there are only going to be 3 proper mages and that when they say recruited 5 mages, including the two exceed that were going round with the natsu&gajeel rip offs.

My best guesses would be either a fairy or a dragon or the path to the dragons world. I thought for a while it might be a true source of magic, but then Hades left to look for that, so it wouldn't make much sense
