Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

My god. Played with these kids who thought I was super bad because I decided to play akali. Apparently assassins killing you in a combo or two is blasphemy (aka assassinating).

Memorable game. Weak link was Cassiopeia, but otherwise we were all solid players.

Being the Koggles, I noticed that they were all building MR, so I decided to build up AD midway through, selling my Malady for Wit's End for increased protection against Singed's poison while bolstering my DPS.

At end-game, Shen was split-pushing top while we were attempting to hold the fort against the Baron-buffed team. Singed decided to TP to top to intercept Shen, which was our cue to rush on Singed's team and try to tear them apart. We managed to get Soraka, then while everyone was skirmishing in the jungle, I managed to pump my DPS onto Singed uninterrupted for the first time while Akali and Cass applied mad slows, with Akali zoning LeBlanc.

One by one they fell. We pushed for the win.

EDIT: LOL oh wow didn't realize having a window off the edge of the monitor cuts it off on the prtscrn function xD Time was 53:01.

On a related note, I don't see a lot of Akalis anymore for some reason.

I lold at the last comment in chat. I'm the bad one because I played akali yet I was one of the people doing the most to the team.

Played a game earlier (solo Queue) as lux... Team fight breaks out... I (behind everyone else) unleash all three spells in a row to decimate enemy HP. Of course this means I'm useless apart from shielding for the next 6 seconds.... so I shield and step back a bit since someone decides to come focus me... and I have no spells.

After the team fight, I get accused of running away from a team fight and not helping at all. >> Notedly my three spells pretty much made it so no enemy fighter had more than 50% hp left (no tank on their team).

who were you playing? basically you just have to stay back early game since his late game is pretty much crap

I'm so frigging scared to get back into the game after a good 6 months break. Only played bot games to get the feel again ( aww yeah ).
OT: Are Tristana, Ez, Mumu(jungle) and Akali still viable to play/carry games with randomers? Haven't noticed big changes in them, and I suck real bad with other champs.

All of those champs are still viable.

Just played (and won) my first ranked game, solo top as singed against caitlyn... o.0 Farmed under the tower until level 7 and then flinged her into tower range and killed her. Both teams were horrible lol, and this annie on my team kept flaming me because i wasn't tanking turret damage so we could auto attack towers (with the two of us) lol.

 Theoretical AP/tank Amumu build - anyone is free to go and try it out at their own risk

Masteries: 1/20/9 or 0/21/9 (depends if you're jungling or not)

- x9 MR blue (flat)

Lee Singer. I wasn't doing too bad early on, I almost FB'd him, but once he started getting levels into his Spin, I started getting my ass kicked.

Oh god, a melee against a Garen...

Have to read properly some time.

So apparently the tooltip for your AS stat is a LIE! It claims that base AS is the blue number, but your real base AS is 0.625 plus/minus latency. In Kog'Maw's case, the latency number is +0.040, so his real base AS is ~0.665 (just as LoL Wikia says). Using this number, the bonus DPS due to AS from items can be calculated accurately. AS per level does not apply to level 1, unlike the other stats as suggested from the LoL website.

No wonder my theorycrafting with AD carries has been whacked.

So far i saw 3 counterpicks with some explication on a few cases and recommended items against that particular champion
