I suppose people can't complain anymore to these higher prices due to the insane drops.

Actually, it will be more of a half and half. Facestompers are going to increase in price because there are a lot more Chaos Scrolls on the market and no increase in facestompers. PACs are decreasing because there is a huge supply right now and way more 3/4 att PACs than Chaos Scrolls. :X


Anything that doesn't come from the gach boxes or doesn't have any relation to the items coming from them will either stay about the same or go up even more since people will have more mesos to spend on those items. :X

It seems more like Nexon saying "everyone complains about gacha rates, and gacha items can't make any non-NX users money?"

If they made the Keys cost 1500 meso instead of 1500NX then this event would have been great. As it is, its just another in a long line of NX Grabbing Events put on by Nexon.

For a game that is heavily marketed as "free to play" Nexon is doing nothing to show that they mean that. Its just one of those advertising gimmicks that turn out to be a lie.

If they had made the Keys cost mesos (especially that PATHETIC amount), the economy would be destroyed. Game over. END-GAME. Rare items would literally be jokes. Dude, even with the Keys being 1.5k NX (which is pretty expensive apiece), the economy's rarest items have already deflated like crazy.

Goodness gracious gravy people need to stop BAWWW'ing over the NX crap. These keys should have been MORE expensive. And MS is free to play, despite what anyone wants to cry over - but that's a whole new can of worms.

The items that are in gold/silver boxes should have already been freely available from monster drops...those items should be plentiful in MS before this event. The economy would not be destroyed, it would mean nonNX users would have a chance to get decent items. I am a classic example, I am laughed at because of my "pathetic" damage, its about 3/4 of the range of NX users who have made billions from their NX and have what they consider "average" equips.

I dont know how people cant see Nexon is shooting themselves and alienating a great percentage of users with these type of events...

Really, it's more like "free to play, but you're going to have a tougher time." With the MTS, you could still go free to play, but...

Myles, you still don't have Gelt Chocolate listed under gold boxes, but I can confirm (unfortunately) that you do, indeed, get it from them. No SS because my MapleStory just... doesn't feel like taking them any more, I guess.

Why? Says where? Shouldn't the very best stuff be hard to obtain? Heck, what's even wrong with the very best stuff costing money to obtain? That's how Nexon decided they want their game, and I agree with their logic in this case.

All of the best stuff shouldn't be handed to us in easy ways, like you want. You're the type of person that wants the very best things in very simple ways. You're extremely picky and would rather just complain about how things are instead of doing your best to get the best you can. I've never been a big spender on NX and a large chunk of what I've spent has come from using the MTS. Yet, though it's been hard and often takes a long time, I've been able to acquire equips that make me very happy and quite strong. I've been able to enjoy this game to the FULLEST extent. Your standards and expectations for this game are just WAY too high. Either quit and spare us all the BAWWW or DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. You're a persistent leveler, so I really have no idea why you are so dang impossible.

I've used very minimal NX. I've never Gached, and I've never had billions of meso. But guess what?! I've still managed to acquire great equips. YOU COULD, TOO! You've cried about your "pathetic" damage for so long no one even listens when you say it any more. Your damage is "pathetic" because you never upgrade your gear. You don't want to unless you can upgrade to something UBER GODLY! Dude, WTH? No. You could still have very awesome damage by just buying what's available to you. I know you could easily buy considerably better equips than what you have now, so don't give me that crap. You're just impossible and would rather stay weak so you can use it to add to your constant complaints.

And yeah, okay, this event did pretty much screw low-level people out of being able to get Gold Boxes. But you don't even have a right to complain about that, seeing as you can easily kill C. Guardians. That map is insanely easy to take advantage of. I made almost 300m in one night farming those Gold Boxes, and I didn't spend a single dollar of NX on this event. Instead of complaining, I decided to make the most of this event. I dunno about you, but that is pretty dang awesome to me.

WHATEVER. You are far too dense and stuck on yourself to realize this, anyway. MS is a great game if you just aren't so dang impossible. If you don't enjoy the way Nexon runs it, not being GODLY or not having billions of meso, why the heck are you still playing and complaining all the time? I love this game - and I've never been top-tier, never been insanely rich and I even get pissed off by Nexon a lot, too. But I realize crap happens, and I focus on doing my best and the things I love most about this game and stress them. That's all it takes.

Yes, paying 1500 mesos to get an item worth over 1500 means means you can get an infinite amount of mesos and items meaning bb economy.

Has anyone gotten a REAL wraith or slime eraser from the chests? I'm beginning to think they just spit out fake ones.

Oh and undine cloth and Bow of Magical Destruction comes from silver chests too.

Guess what. Live with it. If you don't like how Nexon is handling the game, then quit. Nobody's making you play. Nobody's lying to you. Everything is presented to you in a straightforward manner, and it's your choice whether or not you want to see it or not.

Of course its do-able. I didn't have NX at all until my 12xs, and even now, I still haven't bought a single card of 2x exp. I've found quite a few Ilbis without 2x drop, trained all of my levels (even after MTS came out) without 2x exp cards. In fact, I've only bought 2x exp for the Crystal event.

It definitely is do-able, and not P2P, because I haven't spent a penny on the game. (However, though, I still support it because I increase Nexon's profit by using MTS.) @Chameleonic, that's why it's F2P. In this format, the people paying covers everyone's expenses.

I don't wish to see any more discussions about Nexon and their NX Events.

Mabye the price of chaos scrolls did plummet.
But now theres WAY more stock, so more chance of epic items!

I can see I have a diametric view to 99% of the population who are oblivious to something that is obviously broken and are happy to continue to encourage Nexon to keep releasing Events and the like that are completely biased. Nexon must love you. Bravo.

The point is that the mesos:NX exchange rate is not 1 meso:1 NX point. It's more like 2-4m:1k NX or something, which would be approx 2000 mesos to 4000 mesos for 1 NX. In other words, a key would cost 3m to 6m, NOT 1500 mesos.

The fact is, you can get any of the "NX only" items (as in, things like PACs, Chaos Scrolls, etc.) by buying them from other people. You DO NOT EVER have to spend money on this game. The fact is, if EVERYBODY could buy keys for 1500 mesos, the economy would be completely destroyed; 10 ATK PACs would be completely worthless, because there would be several thousand Chaos Scrolls PER SERVER flooding the economy, plus several thousand 4 ATK clean PACs.

The fact is, items like PACs, BWGs, Chaos Scrolls, masks, etc. are INCENTIVES to make people buy NX, so that the game can stay free. If nobody bought NX, then we'd have to pay a monthly/weekly/yearly/whatever fee, or GMS would have to shut down. If they could be found by monster drops, then the game would be too easy.

The fact is, the event has already killed the economy. Once rare Taos are now being dumped into the economy like crazy, Chaos Scrolls are being found ten times as easily, clean PACs have dropped to an all-time low.

The fact is, we're not encouraging Nexon to release biased events. We're encouraging them not to kill the economy over a span of two or three days.

Economy can't be destroyed by such means. It can be changed, though.
There's no law of nature that says a 10 ATK PAC has to cost a fortune. Suppose it becomes so cheap everybody has one. Suppose they started dropping from snails. What of it? Some people who kept PACs as an investment would be out of luck. That's all. Everybody else would take them for granted and spend more money on attack gloves and shields.

If this "event" continues, eventually the prices will all stabilize, although at different values from today. Once the prices of the goodies inside boxes get low enough, people will no longer be buying keys as often (why spend 1500NX on a key to a box, when the box's contents can't be sold for more than 1m meso?), so the supply will level off.

If the "event" ends, the prices will stabilize at a point closer to what they are today. Most of the use items (chaos scrolls, taos, erasers, etc.) will get consumed. The equipment will change hands several times until it's bought by somebody who actually *gasp* *horror* uses it, and thus be off the market as well. 2 ATK PACs will continue to float around, being bought for cheap by newbies who can't afford better, and eventually offloaded for a similar low price.

Not every economic change is "destroying" or "killing" the economy.

Like 2x exp, 2x drop, looting pets, auto-potting pets, and of course all the appearance-related stuff in Cash Shop is not enough?
People were buying plenty of NX even before this event.
But of course Nexon, like any other company, always wants more profit.
