Pokemon.com is holding an event where we can vote for a pokemon and they'll put it up on the Dream World. Just go here and vote http://www.pokemon.com/us/vote/#/about

Any pokemon up to #493 (Arceus) can be picked. The winner will be revealed on December 13th.

Since there's no good way to get Deoxys, nor has there ever really been one, I figured it would be best if we all voted for him.

This is a group thing, not a singular "pick a pokemon and it's yours." So pick wisely (PICK DEOXYS!!!)

i haven't been in touch with pokemon much, but has there been a legit way to get darkrai/arceus yet?

Darkrai was a Wifi event in Platinum, there were Arceus giveaways.

How about Mew?

There's a billion chances to get mew constantly. Deoxys literally never appears outside of tournaments.

Who in the name of pineapple voted ditto. I'll allow pikachu being in the top ten because its pikachu and younger people might have just voted for the pokemon they like as opposed to hard to get,, but theres absolutely no goddam reason anyone would have to possibly want a ditto .... I'm baffled

Lots of people did it for the competitive aspect of Pokemon. Basically with its ability as soon as you switch it in it transforms without needing to use transform. it copies all of your boosts too like dragon dance and such. Give it a choice scarf and its an amazing revenge killer.

I'd like a Deoxys, a Celebi or an Arceus, in that order. Looks like i have a pretty good chance of getting one of those right now, looking at the rankings.

That Ditto would also be awesome, i must admit.
I have Shaymin, Jirachi, Mew, Manaphy and i have access to Darkrai through glitches if i can be bothered. Always wanted some more event pokemon.

Special WiFi world where pokemon get new abilities that they would not normally have access to outside of the dreamworld. For example, Torchic's line would have access to the ability Speedboost instead of the fairly typical "blaze" ability. It introduces a whole new aspect to the competitive-ness of pokemon.

Yea, its Ditto's dream world ability.

well, seeing how most tourneys and such don't allow legendaries, and that ditto ability is clearly omgwtphax, i understand people voting for it.

not like i care anyways, no internet in a few miles allows me to log to the GTS or whatever it's called, QQ

Interestingly, we don't even know if the pokemon given through this event even have their dream world ability, nowhere in the event does it say it.
In Japan it was Arceus who was chosen, and Arceus does not have a dream world ability.

I would laugh so hard if Ditto won and people got a normal Ditto with nothing special about it at all
