What's your %str?

There are some build decisions that might benefit you if your gear is good enough. The biggest build argument centers around the 122-140 area where you can either get bazooka or barrage. Barrage is a higher DPS boost than anything including overburn, but it's only for 1v1. Bazooka on the other hand is just for the sake of training faster. Barrage being your only 1v1 skill ever, i think should be maxed first. Bazooka doesn't out damage drill until level 15 and it's otherwise only good for its range. The rest of the jobs are kinda straightforward.

27% in tradeable armor.

I would still say barrage first, but i don't know how you train in the wacky land of JMS.

So what do Brawler builds look like post-Ascension? For all jobs.

Specifically asking for my UA, in case that made any difference (doubtful).

Yay thank you. Good to know I didn't screw up my build that badly, but rather I added to DU too soon. :v

There isn't any build screwing in 2nd job because you either don't get barrel or you don't get DU, which are both filled in 3rd. Barrel is just nicer to have than DU in any given situation.

Ehh, I can't seem to figure out, though, why I was unable to add any SP into MP Recovery. In other words, I have both Barrel and MP Recovery at 0 (actually Barrel is at 1) while I was able to max everything else. Currently a level 80 UA Marauder, if that helps.

I think the SP totals are still messed up on the guide but somehow it really does work out. By 120 you'll have both of those maxed, everything in 3rd job maxed, and level 2 shockwave. (that's what i have, anyway)

I don't see the point of Oak Barrel, at all.

1) It's not shockwave.
2) IT'S NOT SHOCKWAVE.
3) It freezes aggro on multi part bosses (arms won't sed, pb statues more manageable) in exchange for not contributing to dps.

Shockwave is pretty useless though you are right, i'm a brand new pirate (made it just last week) and i put one point into shockwave because why not, and its shocking, absolutely terrible.

And that answers my curiosity of whether or not Barrel was used for anything other than the chance DS effect. Goodie.

Ok i have a level 136 Bucc that only really is doing PQs. Now my current skill build is 30 DS, 5 demo, 10 revenge and 1 in everything else except Mw which is 0.
Now im wondering if spaming DS has better damage output than barrage or demo on 1vs1. If someone knows the cast time for all 3 of those then i can figure it out that way.

And a 2nd quick question is should i be maxing Demo or ST now since i primally PQ which always has some type of boss. Im doing Demo but just want to hear what you guys think.

Thanks for the answers. Instresting that lvl 1 barrage> lvl 30 DS though on 1vs1. Is that like that for other classes where 1 point in the 1vs1 is stronger than the max level of the main mob skill.

But anyway why does ST take proitity. from my point of view since im PQing ill only need to be in super transformation during the bosses. so having a 20sec cooldown isn't really nessarly as long as i can always demo during the boss portion. And i feel as if regular DS> Super transform DS because they make it slower in super transform.

Reg DS < max ST DS. The attack offsets the speed. This is fact. It's also why you need to max it.

I don't PQ. If you think demo > ST because of how you use it then go ahead.
