TrueBlitz Wrote:Wouldn't this be Tespians' fault for not trying the Sidekick system to see if you can exploit it?

Either way, this shouldn't have happened. Feels like a rollback coming soon.

Most tespians have characters of super high level. The sidekick system was largely untested because nobody made characters that qualified for it.

^ But it is tespians' job to test all aspects of a release, not play on lv 130 characters like they're the pomegranate.. Sad

And it is Nexon's job to fix all aspects of reported bugs, not open up the tespia server and do pomegranate.. Sad

Obviously both of them have a responsibility, but isn't that what tespia is for? testing?

So we're blaming the people in Tespia for a bug? Cool story.

Yes, but how many bugs has Nexon actually fixed that people have reported? Very little to none 99% of the time.

Is is there a level limit at all for me adding a Side Kick or if they get EXP from a REALLY high monster?

no limits for now... maybe an emergency SC will change the situation for the worse (making Sidekick an only NX event)

It's fairly impossible to test a system without knowing how it's supposed to work.

If Nexon wants proper testing, they need to give their testers relevant details.

Probably intended. Nexon knows most people don't waste money on cubing till they think they're of a high enough level. They already broke game balance, why not break leveling too?

Hey you out there beyond the wall...

Missed levelup on the 2nd SS.
43-44 (90% since it's a cygnus) in 4 minutes is pretty decent, considering I'm training on lv.88 mobs...

Also, 2070 MP bonus
5994 total at 44 (271+82 INT)
6087 total at 45 (277+82 INT)
6216 total at 46 (283+81 INT) / 2100 MP bonus at this point
6310 total at 47 (289+80 INT)
2925 -> 3002 -> 3080 -> 3158
= +77 mp, +78 mp, +78 mp
Anyone know the MP formula to say if that's normal?

Although that is really broken, don't start saying this. Just did 1-63 on my WA the past 2 days and if I have to start over, I'm going to be pissed T_T

Can't wait to try this though.

Pretty sure that's more then normal.

In the beginning I thought this system would be like 100:100 exp but after testing in 10000 ways I think its pretty balanced even tho theres no max level difference between eachother. My lvl 102 wk gets 2k exp per kill while the sidekick (lvl 55) gets around 700. Getting 700 exp per kill isnt that hard on that lvl anyway since I could easy go jesters. Its obviously faster than normal for anyone who doesnt have sick funds but it doesnt last forever, its just an event isnt it?

Couple more levels...
6514 at 48 (295+79 INT) / +2190
6609 at 49 (301+78 INT) / +2190
It's giving me less INT as I level, probably cause I'm a Blaze Wizard and it doesn't expect 6 AP per level... Currently at +75 INT/LUK, +2190 MP, +300 HP.

I've noticed that the number of points added to the lower sidekick's main stat seem to be determined by a formula that goes something like:
[(higher sidekick's level - 5) - (lower sidekick's level)].

I'm not sure about the secondary stat yet, but that formula seems to work for the main one.

Edit: Never mind, I just went on a level 33 Thunder Breaker and had him be the sidekick of a level 92 Sniper, but the Thunder Breaker gained 110 strength and 40 dex from the sidekick buff.

You tried training at something that doesnt have a significant exp loss due to level difference? I took my 120 cygnus to gig vikings, and a lvl 30 mule to sidekick. Exp is most excellent (30-40 was extremely quick). I also tried it with a lvl 76 mage sidekicked to my cygnus. The exp was still faster than training by herself. I think the leech will become too slow in the 80's, compared to the character training themselves in magatia.

My DW only has like 10 HP pots so I was avoiding that, just testing it out. (got 12 levels at Roids last night in under an hour anyway by the time I used up those 10 power elixirs)

I moved to Ludibrium later, didn't have a chance to move my %str gear over so I haven't decided which map's best.

Yeah, the formula is: 2nd stat = lv.+3, total bonus = 150 AP. I just wasn't paying attention at first. So equipping the highest +stats bonus will give you the best stats.

Maybe I'll use this to get myself some more level 120 PvP mules after I level the Blaze Wizard to the max it can reasonably leech... almost all my 120+ are on the same account :x

tried the leech system on a 95 paladin with a 120 cygnus, not really worth it compared to training (for me)

but i took a 1 min vid of the sidekick training my level 40 pirate, and dear god... gimme a while to upload it (lolfraps massive weight.)
