Question - what does the stat "paralyze" do ?
you've fought the brethren shamans right? they hit you with lightning and you suffer a shock every x seconds, which breaks some skills when getting casted, sucks balls.
I'm talking about "paralyze" the stat. Considering any class can have it on their gear (even ones without lightning attacks) I don't think that's what the stat does.

or it just seems weird that it's on everyone's gear
Paralyze is basically ''flinching'' if I'm not mistaken.

You flinch and that interrupts what you were doing, and leaves you open for attack for a second or so. Stun is when you're in a daze and pass out.
ok cool that's what I thought it was but I wanted to confirm it with someone. I was doing some PvP and noticed that some of my attacks weren't making them flinch like they should have (like taunting howl) and it wouldn't stop their combo chains. I looked it up and someone said it made/reduced (para resist) flinching.

I'm definitely using para and para resist plates for PvP

Those plates don't matter for PvP (unless you're in ladder)
oh ok well nvm then.
I think the para resist crests will be useful in the 40+ dungeons as the monsters have high para. I kept flinching on every hit from the mobs to the point where I got perma
Ran Cerebus hell mode on my Priest. Kept dying at least 2-3 times per run. I need some advice.

So far, I'm thinking...
- Bull[censored] ice storm attack: Run behind him when he casts this? I noticed that most times, little to no ice falls behind him. The problem is that his back is usually to the wall, making dodging difficult (so have someone aggro him to make him face the wall?). The only other option I see is to run the hell away from him as far as possible when you see him glow blue. Then again, this observation would be bad if the ice does indeed track you down.

- Fire tower attack (Inferno, I'm guessing): Run away when he glows red. Just run away.

- Dark Storm attack: I'm not sure if it's even possible to dodge this, nor am I entirely sure what he does to telegraph this beforehand. The lightning strikes seem random, and it doesn't help that the lightning is deliberately hard to see. I wonder if there's no lightning when you're within melee range, though.
Could someone explain what arena experience and arena points do?

For the storm, he goes up on 2 legs and then smashes down. For the ice storm, it has a limited range so I either run away or go behind.

Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:- right head goes down, meaning fire wall is coming, huge damage
- middle head does lightning attack
- left head does blizzard, but if you keep moving, you wont' be hit unless you're in a party and you stack
Lightning cloud = It doesn't cover the entire map, but it's pretty damn close. Just depends on where Cerb decides to use this. I don't know if just melee range is safe or if it's just his butt that's a safe spot as long as you don't use a skill that sends you backward.

Just try and stay near his sides when you're attacking and watch out for when he wants to kick you.
I tried staying on his side and got 1 shot =(

Well, if firewall got you.... Yeah. orz

It's like with Mino where you have to be able to see his front for his stomp except you have to watch Cerb for his heads. Alas, I've already used up my Hell runs. ;-;
Finally hit 31, almost 32 so I can start trying out some Cerebus runs Big Grin
DrRusty Wrote:I tried staying on his side and got 1 shot =(

Only safe area is to be far away from him, and the most dangerous area would be directly in front of him, for obvious reasons. Most of his attacks come from the heads, and getting paw-slammed is hard to get out of at times.

You have to be incredibly cautious in the battle or you risk taking insane damage, especially when he gets to low health and just spams on Hell Mode. Best thing to do is kite around at a distance until you find an opening.
Main attacks for cerb

- blizzard: It's like mino axes. If you keep running, you can't get hit. If you're in a party and stack/follow each other, you might run into the blizzard that was meant to hit them

- fire wall: limited range, just get away from him

- AoE lightning: Get out of range, or charge towards him. If you're hugging him, he can't hit you

- Fireball: Attack from the side, he can't get you. Best time to attack

- Glacial spike/chilling mist (hell): Just avoid. Glacial spike is homing though

- Lightning bolt: Attacks fast, only way to avoid is have very good reflexes or never stand in front of the middle head

- triple orbs (hell): Don't stand on them

- paw swipes: Low damage and attack fast. The ones where he slams a paw down, he'll slam the other paw down right after always

- roar: very weak damage, basically to push everyone away. Just ignore it
