Your best maple class?
#1
I'm thinking over which character would be best/easiest for me to remake in nova, and I was wondering what people of SP think is the best class. Not just in DPS but in all aspects of the game

And I am not asking which I should make I am just curious as to what some people think
#2
Totally interpreted the question wrong.
But would have chosen mage anyways.
Happy accident.
#3
Adventurers only? Mages and warriors were always the good all-rounders. Most ranged classes are squishy, which hurts their versatility later on.
#4
Shouldn't this be on discussion?
The title and it being on Q&A makes it look like a "what class is better" thread.

Also I don't know, I would say till now archers were sucky but not so sure if we're still sucky.
Thieves and pirates go along with archers, mages are good but got a couple of flaws and warriors are just slow, but I think I'll pick warriors since I like being able to tank a few hits.

Considering my Viper and Cannon Shooter, I would have to say Pirates are my strong-suit. Two very fun jobs that I'll never regret playing.

Try it out when GMS gets Cannon Shooter. All around, it's powerful as hell, has great mobbing, and it's more interesting than other jobs early on.

I'm a sucker for Mages in every game. Maple is no exception.
#7
warriors hands down.

nothing better then being a tank
#8
Warrior, man. They whack people with bludgeons and pointy swords & spears! What else could you want?!
#9
Archers have always been my strong point. WHs are maybe an exception but I actually bothered to get one to 4th before deciding it was meh. But Bowmasters, Marksmen and Wind Archers get all my love.

There's just something about using bows/crossbows that I love so much, or maybe it's ranged classes in general (which is why I also love Corsairs) but then again, I can't stand playing Assassins or Nightwalkers (despite getting a NW to 120). I do quite love sharpshooting, though, which is probably why I always start out or end up playing as a ranged class in most MMOs.

Pre-Big Bang, I would have said warrior. Hell, I might have said warrior up until Chaos, but it's gotten to where each of the warriors is just a slow tank that uses only one of the moves they have available with the occasional Rush to mix it up. I'd have to say archers now, since each of them has a variety of moves, and they all have their uses in all sorts of situations.

I love playing as a Mage, having different elements with each and only one with all of them (Evan). Also, I like flashy skills.
#12
mechanics, but they hardly qualify as pirates

I agree with the others: I think survivability is the one thing I'd never want to give up in this game. The only not-mages-or-warriors that are particularly survivable are cannon shooters and shadowers.

I usually make mages.
#14
anything with great DPM output and that can't be ohkoe'd easily or 1/1'd completely.
#15
I prefer melee classes, on this poll that means Warriors. Just a style thing, sniping's not as fun to me in the long term as being able to rain down hell on anything that moves.

My NL's not bad considering how little attention the class has got in all these updates. At least it feels familiar. Avoid used to make it much tankier but it's still able to assault things head on.

True story: When I first started playing Maple I was a tad confused about the "jobs" thing. I thought 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th referred to the four jobs warrior, magician, bowman, and thief (pirates didn't exist yet). So everyone gets all the jobs, we just get to choose the order to do it in.

Well, I really like Magicians in general (ooh, magic!), but after seeing how hard of a time they had in the beginning (this was before the big Maple Island reform, when if you didn't raise STR there you hit 1's, and if you did raise STR you ended up with very weak bolt/claw in the first levels of Magician), I decided to start out Warrior and then take Magician second job. Imagine my surprise when I found out that choice was not available...

Turned out well, though. Warrioring suits me much better. (Much much later I raised a Bishop, and I didn't like its gameplay nearly as much as my Hero). I like being able to barrel into just about anything and whack it with my sword 'til it's dead, dead, dead. And then check whether I need to top up my HP. Simpleminded violence, just what I need to relax with. Only thing I don't like about warriors is slow walking. The one thing I was most looking forward to in my "second job" was Teleport :-(

I never have problems with walking slow.
Actually, if there was no speed cap i´d have 160% speed
and about 150% Jump. Right now I don't even have to use haste.
It wont make any difference x_x But yeah I know what you mean
a skill to go faster then just walking around. Because yeah max speed
and jump is still slow if you ask me.

Yeah, I wish they'd raised the cap for everyone, not just Bowmen.

adeventures are boring, wait for cannon shooter/mercedes/demon slayer
