The AP is a waste. Not sure if the slow makes up for it since Ryze already has his low cooldown snare.

The AP is a waste? Wasn't the whole "argument" just about Mana + AP vs HP? Seeing as Wob didn't care about the HP for RoA, but mainly the Mana and AP?

There's a reason why no one (should) buys a Deathcap on Ryze.

It's all about mana and HP. Slows are wasted on Ryze who can throw out a snare around every 5 seconds. Also his Ap ratios are garbage. .2 .6 and .35. Real awful.

So the cait in my game had a last whisper. I figured that since each of those 100 armor items (thorn & frozen heart... i know FH is 99) was reduced to 60 armor items... I could really use some extra armor. In a rush to get into a team fight which broken out while I was dead, I just grabbed another FH. My reasoning: moar armor & moar mana = awesomeness on ryze. I didn't get it at all for the passive since I'm WELL aware of it being unique. I was just looking for more armor.

My damage was already devastating them since they didn't build MR.... I couldn't pop them, but I still tore through them. I needed more mana to take out enemies faster... because seriously... hot knife through butter against my teammates.... and more armor against cait+3 other ADs since I initiated almost all of the fights.

This is the one and only case I'd ever think of grabbing a 2nd FH. It helped me survive longer and deal more damage all in 1 item. I'm gonna try that build again but with a warmog's instead of a 2nd FH if I ever fight all AD again.

You essentially wasted a whooping 1075 gold on the wasted passives. That's about half of the 2775 of the Frozen Heart. Now let's see what you could get otherwise...

Thornmail (2000 gold for the same amount of armor, and a rebound. This already probably melts the AD carries like butter, if they're idiots and focus you, which apparently they are since apparently focus you even if you have a Randuin's and a Frozen Heart).

2 Sapphire Crystals: 200 mana each, 400 gold. (heck if it's possible, you could buy another half of a mana crystal and still have 225 gold left for wards and crap, and that'll equal the Frozen Heart in terms of MP).

Should've gone with a Thornmail, mate, and then a Banshee's Veil right after (for those 1-2 AP carries, the MP, the HP, and the passive). Thornmail would have destroyed them.

I know I was a bit careless, but hee I'm fucking Yorick and it's late I want to faceroll this game! Strangely it worked a bit. First time I ever walked into 5 champions not being that scared of them. By the way, this seemed like the ideal end item build for Yorick. Do you guys agree on it? What if the game went on, what should I have sold and kept? I might have replaced the GA and banshee's veil with warmogs/atma's if I could muster up the gold, but that's the only thing I could think of.

I already had a thornmail. There were ZERO AP carries. Cho was their tank... he posed almost no threat.
They were 4 AD +Cho.

Tear, Sorcs, FH, Thornmail.


I'm not saying FH was the best choice for a 5th item. But against 4 AD carries, the main threat of which had a LW, I needed more armor... I decided to get more mana while I was at it. The wasted gold meant nothing... I had TONS to spare.

Shyvana Mechanic Preview

For this mechanics preview, we wanted to focus less on the individual abilities of our upcoming champion and talk about the skillset and character flow of Shyvana, the Half Dragon, as a whole.

Shyvana is a melee champion that heavily rewards aggression. She does so by utilizing a system called Dragon’s Blood, a resource that accrues anytime Shyvana lands an auto-attack. Once her Dragon’s Blood is full, she can unleash it to transform into a dragon, giving her substantial buffs, ability enhancements and some upfront damage. While in dragon form, Shyvana’s Dragon’s Blood is slowly consumed, though she can continue auto-attacking to extend the duration of the Dragon Form and maximize her damage output with each use.

It’s also worth mentioning that Shyvana’s ultimate has no cooldown, but can only be used when her reserve of Dragon’s Blood is full. The right set of circumstances can allow a skilled player to transform much more often than other would otherwise be possible.

In addition, all of Shyvana’s abilities also have benefits that trigger when she auto-attacks. This is to differentiate her from the “melee caster” paradigm embodied by some other characters, making her play somewhere between an Attack Damage carry and a fighter.

Simply put, Shyvana is for players who like any of the following:

* Offensive, aggressive playstyles
* Melee carries or fighters
* The idea of being a super-rad dragon


We think this wantonly aggressive playstyle is something we haven’t seen previously on the Fields of Justice. It’s an exciting opportunity for players to experience a new way to play League of Legends.

He'd get a void later on. He doesn't really need to maximize his single burst nuke damage like a normal caster. He excels at standing there being nigh unkillable while constantly shooting balls of lightning at you.

* The idea of being a super-rad dragon

Hilarious match where i stomped the enemy team being a MAJOR COCKBLOCKER With revive and Garrison. Also second time playing rammus and suddenly remembered that there was a place called Solomid in which i could get Guides for this champ >.<
