Sigh.

From the show's creator herself.

I'm still not sure what that has to do with a grown man wearing cat ears and a bell around his neck washing ponies in a public fountain. Hes not watching them with his kids, hes sitting on his computer at 3am in the dark durring over freaking ponies. There are tons of shows out there for girls. Most shows these days are gender neutral.

And you're taking that specific example (which yes, is creepy and extreme) and applying it to all other fans with what you said.

"The pony thing would be acceptable if you were 5, and had a vagina. But your not."

Translates to: If you're a grown male and enjoy the show, you should be ashamed.

For God's sake, extreme fans are in every fandom, not just ponies. Have you SEEN the bad Adventure Time fans? Homestuck? ANIME in general? MLP's extreme fandom is just more obvious than most, and that honestly makes it hard for anyone to be able to simply admit they just like the show.

Adults enjoying the show is not unacceptable. Judging an entire group based on some extremes is.

EDIT: If by "the pony thing" you meant those specific extremes, I take back what I said and apologize but if I did understand the post correctly, I stand by what I said.

Anything with enough people liking it would end up with that type of people doing that type of things e.g. Religion and at the same time with that much people hating the ones that like it e.g. Atheism vs. Religion.

Extreme Adventure Time fans do not plague the internet like a deadly scourge. The reason no one likes them is because of like you said, it's more obvious because it's SO much more obnoxious.

Agreed.

It's nice that you like the show. Really, congratulations. However, acting like a giddy little school girl over a new handbag is a bit obsessive.

Maybe, just maybe, they act that way because they usually were recived with negative views for liking a show that for almost three decades was the symbol for little-girlness and felt that they should shout to the winds that is ok to like them and even do stuff little girls would do, only thing is that after a while no one cared but they still belived people viewed them that way and continued to do so and now people are hating them which is making them turn on the hyper drive.
So continue to hate them instead of ignoring and you'll end up with a new religion.

Nope. They do it because they want to be controversial, just like every other moronic meme on the internet.
