World of Warcraft players, come in!

Resto Shammies have always been in a major hole, because the other 3 healers do everything they do, but way better. There's a reason why Blizz keeps buffing Resto Shamans for PvE purposes.

As for the "Madness" fight, they're REALLY pushing for N'Zoth. I mean all this corruption pomegranate and whatnot...

There's also a reason they don't buff resto druids even though they suck in arenas (opposite problem of shaman). They're by far far far the best raid healer especially in 25s.

If you aim for high end raiding, such as top5 guilds do then shaman is the worst healer class currently in game. There is a huge deal of issues with the spec if you need to min/max.

1. Shaman healing is greatly dependent on raids positioning, both main raid healing abilities; healing rain and chain heal can be next to worthless if raid is spread or fight needs constant movement.

2. Lack of raid saving cool downs is a huge deal when raiding on new content with gear from previous tier. Disc priests and resto druids give way better cool downs to deal with incoming dmg then spirit link totem.

3. Even while shamans are able to put up a decent tank healing. While running as few healers as possible makes paladins with beacon better choice.

4. Mana tide is more needed by the shamans them self then other healers, so you don't really need tide unless you bring shaman. (See what I did there?)

5. Fairly low survivability; only real cool down we have is glyphed stone claw totem

These are just the most obvious issues with the spec currently there is. Also there is few other things but those aren't so major.

But if you ain't aiming for cutting edge progress you should be able to perform good as other healers, as long as you stay on top of your game

thats for heroic rag, I can understand that for 25man, since everyone is spread out, shaman won't perform that good, but for a 10man, theres not such a big difference

EDIT: resto druid are gods against pally in arenas, rej, cat form, run, rej, cat form, run, cyclone, roots, rej, cat form, run, .....

Yeah the healers are so different, on rag adds phase two while running for like 15 secs since he's moving our pally healer says he isn't able to heal. Shams do suck. Druids do rape, but they still need to buff shams because besides stacking I've never seem a sham be good.

10k gold is cheap, for legendary staff you have to get exalted with uldum and buy 3 items for 3k gold each.

And I know because my guild was talking about it, top guilds get paid to advertise, like this guild did a stream of new ptr and they hadncommercials.

I don't think they're getting paid enough for it to be like a job though, maybe some pocket money, whiCh sucks because I'm sure they have to put in MAD hours as well be mad prepared. Still, seems cool.

I had a lot of gold until I was getting upgrades nonstop, and I paid for 3 months of WoW play time with gold. Then I started playing dragon nest and haven't even been trying to get gold on WoW.

BTW the deathwing fight looks lame as hell.... DPS tentacle, DPS wing, switch platform, DPS tentacle, DPS wing. grats you killed deathwing?

It means EVERYTHING is ungodly undertuned and super easy. The heroic Fireland bosses they tested on the PTR were total faceroll, yet when they hit live, they were rather hard.

Dragon Soul PTR Testing - Madness of Deathwing
Exordium and Pillow Fort managed to unlock the Madness of Deathwing encounter on test realms and actually went through most of it! Obviously it's pretty spoilery and you shouldn't watch it if you don't want to (almost) see how the last fight of the expansion ends.

Keep in mind that this fight was not supposed to be tested and is still incredibly bugged and possibly very undertuned.

Yeah, I never mean for my comments to be rude. I just take a jab whenever I get the chance.
But as Nomad said, 4.3 is when I return, or before 4.3. I plan on returning in December when the stuff I'm doing finishes.

lol, it's a secret! You'll know soon enough. It's a 12 week program and it ends sometime in December. I wanted to return before 4.3 so I could try to gear up and try getting into my guild's main raid again, but seeing as Blizz is being hasty with the PTR testing, I'm starting to think it'll come out mid / late November. All I know is when the program ends is when I'll return.

Also, people HAVE taken my lighthearted posts the wrong way before and have gotten pissed at me
