So instead of directly nerfing Akali, Riot are just nerfing Gunblade and adding another champion that basically counters her.

Excellent job, Riot, that's what she needed.

Akali's itemization is what makes her ridiculous, same how Trinity Force makes Irelia and other champions ridiculous.
Gunblade is the cream of the crop for Akali, so better that be nerfed than Akali becoming worthless status.

pineapple, Nocturne Ultimate its apparently glitched, i can dash to a enemy but i cant damage them :/

New Halloween runes are really cost effective, even if they are worse than T3 runes. Definitely worth picking them up if you don't have the T3 equivalents.

All of these are just a smidge worse than actual Tier 3's but they're also just under half the cost. So with Flat Health you'd be missing out on 6 Health and saving roughly 3k IP.

Graves is quite nice. I'm not too sure about Trinity. Bloodthirster is a damn fine first choice. I'm not feeling Trinity too much. CDs are a little long. Not too bad. His passive makes me remarkably beefy for a ranged AD. Frozen Mallet doesn't seem like too ridiculous a choice.

Max E cooldown is pretty damn short with some autoattacks mixed in, and it jumps thin walls!

So my cousin and a few of my college peeps told me I should pick up this game. Any good websites for general nub informations?

I'd read through the almost 500 pages of this thread, but I feel like I should just play to get the hang of things o_o

These are a few good guides for beginners. Take a look at the approved guides about laning phase and last hitting as those are important concepts to understand. Don't worry about jungling for now as that's a bit more advanced, and most people don't bother with runes (items that improve stats of your champion) until they are level 20 when the best runes become available.

I'm a huge stream monster. I knew what HSGG was talking about when he made the remark. Saint and Chauster like to double-team HSGG when they get into an argument. Saint + Elementz like to goof with HSGG in real life lol.

My team vs a team composed of Jax,Nidalee,Shaco,Ryze and Yorick.

What happens? We get insta stomped, pineapple it dominion its imbalanced as pineapple.

The main website is fine for learning concepts of the game and whatnot. It won't really tell you how to master them though.

LoL wikia is the best place to get stats data on champions, although it's not the best place for strategies.

Like Connor said, solomid.net is probably the best place for guides. Don't worry about it too much though, as not everything applies to all ranges of elo (your rating number that determines which opponents you get matched against and such).

I tried Phreak's build for Graves, I hate it. I don't like crit. So, I tried and Teemo-esqe build and loved it. Started with Zerk Greaves or Treds if they're cc-heavy, build a wits end, for more MR that stacks with my passive, then go into a black cleaver and then get a madreds. At some point in there I get 1 or 2 vamp scepters for some nice lifesteal.

Haven't had any long games with Graves yet but 2 doran's, shoes depending on situation and a BT has worked so far. Oh and a Zeal.

I took a look at Graves's "recommended" build. I think there's better options for him for certain items. His CDs are too high to make use of TriForce effectively IMO (though it can still be used in some ways or form, but not recommended).

After thinking about this for some time, these are my items of choice for Graves (Do note this is basically theory-crafting, lol).

- Infinity Edge. Standard bread-and-butter ranged AD carry item. Don't need to elaborate much more further.
- Bloodthirster. Great item for him because of the AD and the lifesteal component.
- Yomuu's Ghostblade. IMO I think this is a great item on him, especially when used with his Quickdraw to close the gap. Nice amount of armor pen, crit, AD on him plus the active will give him AS and MS for finishing that enemy off. Don't forget the 15% CDR - that helps a bunch with his long CDs. (Think about this: When you use Quickdraw and Yomuu's Ghostblade together, you can gain at least 90% AS and at most, 130% AS. Quite insane, IMO)
- Berserker's Greaves as standard boots. Merc Treads can be used if CC becomes an issue
- Phantom Dancer - more AS, Crit, and MS in a package. Syngerizes well with him
- Black Cleaver - great item for dealing more damage with autoattacks with its unique passive.
- Cloak and Dagger - if you don't have Merc Treads and need some CC reduction, this item is great on him. However, if there is Merc Treads already on him, this is redundant. Go ahead and stack another BT or get a Last Whisperer, depending on the situation. Or build a defensive item (see below)

Defensive items:

- Banshee Veil - don't need to explain much on that
- QSS - if certain hard CCs become a problem for you....
- GA - if people are seriously drooling to take you out and you still want to keep yourself alive in some way or form...
