Hamas rules Israel now?
#1
Well the Gilad Shalit case gives that image to the world in my opinion. Make the math, over 1030 criminals including people who have made major terrorist attacks on Israel for a single man.

Would US ever give over thousand terrorists, child-killers and assorted violent fanatics to save one of their soldiers? Nevermind giving them straight to a very well known terrorist organization? No. Never.

What Hamas learns from this is that they can kidnap 1 man more and this time ask Israel to release all palestinian prisoners. What next? Israel will give a part of their land for kidnapped person?

While I understand the feelings towards 1 soldier, people shouldn't forget that there's tons of Israelis who lost their relatives in sick and heartless attacks made by these men that are now being transferred to freedom.

I have no idea how 2/3 of Israelis would support this.

It's because they are stupid. They lack any form of decent education and don't understand the value of logical choices. It's all about pride and tradition.

Actually it's being soft-hearted.
It's the Israeli media who rule Israel.
They made it appear as if everyone here wanted Shalit back at any price, because who is so heartless as to not empathize with his poor parents?

Fact is, most Israelis I've spoken to, know this is going to cost us the lives of many more people who will be murdered by those just released, and more kidnapping attempts - which, successful or not, are always painful.

But what the media wants, the media gets.

In america we refer that to "sheeps", which aren't held high in regard in terms of intelligence. It's not the peoples fault though, it's just simply the culture.

Yes please continue showing your ignorance and insult Israel more. Lack of intelligence? Please. When the Jews recieved Palestine, it was a barren land, they turned it into a green developed country with an advanced military. Don't understand the value of logical choices? Judging by the fact that when the Jews turned Israel into what it is today, all of the surrounding countries declared war on them and Israel held them all off successfully, I am pretty sure that Israelis know the value of their "logical choices." Please don't act like you know what you are talking about. Not only am I Jewish, but I have visited Israel and have many friends there.

Also I don't see that Israel is "ruled by the media" as SaptaZapta said. When I was in Israel, the people living there do not stop thinking about the captured soldiers ever, not for even a few hours. It seems you all don't understand what it is like to be surrounded by enemies, where every day is potentially your last. Every citizen of Israel has to participate in the army and they all have extreme pride in protecting their homeland. As to why the Israelies trade 1,000+ terrorists for 1 soldier, I cannot say for sure. What I can say is that each Israeli life means a tremendous amount to Israel and Jews all over the world. They are not many of us left as we have faced diversity throughout the ages and they will do almost anything to protect their people.

Let's just disregard everything else negative because they managed to inhabit the desert. That's smart.

Face it, religion runs your country, into the ground, sorry.

No, we are not turning this into an Israel vs Palestine debate. I could equally bring up the plantain moves Israel have done against the Palestinians (and it was not "barren" land) but I'm not going to, but don't pretend Israel is all innocent and such (although Israel is undeserving of all the violence and such).

And Khaini, quite frankly and surprisingly, religion has less to do in Israel than you think. I can't say the same for the media because I never researched the media in Israel, but you're overestimating the importance of religion there

Face it, you still have no idea what you are talking about. Face it, religion runs most of the world. kk bro.

I'd love to hear some of your "plantain moves that Israel has done against the Palestinians." As I recall, Israel treats their prisoners humanely, giving them access to the Red Cross and letting them have contact with their families. Over these 5 years, Palestinian terrorists have left Gilad Shalit to rot in a dark cell, leaving him malnutritioned, sunlight depraved, and giving him as little contact with the outside world as possible. Israel is humane and will go out of its way to not kill civilans, the Palestinians that side with Hamas will not make such efforts. I know this is not a Palestine vs. Israel debate, but please don't go as far to categorize us with them, it's pretty insulting.

Btw, for those of you who would like to know what you are talking about, here you go:

Gilad Shalit

What Israel Has Done (This is only up until 2001, I don't care enough to go look up more).

I'm going to PM you later for the sake of this thread. It does contain a lot of pre-2000 stuff, though.

Sorry to tell you this but the fact Israel and Palestine have been in the same war for x amount of decades over the same piece of land, a big factor being religious, only proves they are limited in every regard but pride. Although there are smaller things such as water rights, I digress that America should just leave them both alone to kill each other.

I love how you fail to mention the Gaza Strip. You're living proof that you're nothing but bias for your own country while you claim the other is the devil, like every other batsh`it citizen. Both your countries are so desperate for their own sense of control/justice that it's no wonder nothing has progressed.

Are you kidding or something ? your both posts are enough to show how biased you are.

At start you were talking about how "recieved Palestine" wow at received? you say it as it was gift , and talking about how they turned it into the green land or w/e when Palestine by itself would be able to do the same thing for the country over these years.
Its annoying when someone is clueless about the history and using the dreamy type words.
After that you are asking this lame question about naming some of Israel moves to show more how you are clueless , its not hard to know about it because most the world knows , Israel was never ever the kind person.

I don't want to go more into this as the main thread is not about it.

________

About the main thread , I maybe can't share the same point of view with TS because how is see "Palestine" (which is named Israel for some and its still name Palestine for some) is different , i see Palestine is the real owner of that land , and Hamas if not represent themselves then they represent Palestine.
And IMO fighting for your own land is a legitimate right.

I don't plan to bother on proving my own opinion because for me its a waste of time , i just wanted to say as i didn't want to comment about something that not related to the main thread.

and sorry for the bad english at some of my post parts Big Grin.

CrazyForDex and I are arguing it real nicely in PMs, guys (I mean like 10+ paragraphs each PM with minimal flaming), so you don't need to talk about that misamisa ha ha.

*Sigh. I meant "recieved" as a way to say transfer of "ownership" of the land from Britain to the Jewish people.

I also never said in any of those posts that Israel never did anything wrong or plantainish, I was asking for some examples after responding to the first few posts that were flaming Israel. Also if you read what I said, I never claimed to be unbiased, I was specifically talking about the treatment of prisoners of war.

Sorry for getting a little steamed at the beggining, I'll drop it now.

And you guys don't need to worry about researching plantain moves Israel did against Palestine. I got it alll settled.
