1.) Is your battery charged? Probably has nothing to do with it. But make sure you have your laptop plugged into the wall.
2.) Check your audio settings on whatever program you have. I have IDT audio on mine. (check and make sure the volume and speakers are set correctly in the settings.)
3.) Click your sound icon on your taskbar when you have a song playing. Does the green sound meter rise and fall with the music?
4.) Right-click your sound icon in your taskbar. Then click on playback devices. Check if speakers and headphones or speakers are selected. You might have something else selected as the sound device.
5.) Go to Device Manager and uninstall your audio driver that way. Don't use CCleaner if you're doing it that way. Then restart and does it reinstall? If it does, and there is still no sound. The driver installer might be corrupt. If that's the case, try to go to Toshiba's homepage and find out what audio driver works on your laptop and OS.
6.) Did you have any windows updates install recently? That might be a possible culprit. Sometimes they install updates indiscriminately without knowing which audio driver is compatible.
If you can't fix it based on all of that. I'd take it to get repaired.

I assume you didn't install some other audio related driver, right? (IE: SRS High Definition Audio)
Anyway, if you didn't, go to:
Run> Services.msc
Look for windows audio and check that it's set to automatic and the status says "started". If everything's fine there, then I really have no idea. I guess you could try running in safe mode to see if there's any program interfering and do the standard spyware/virus check. Other than that, wait for the SP tech pros or send it for repair.
