I just got back from going to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and driving lessons and I found my computer hot as f*ck and it was responding slow. I look at the task manager and found this. How in the world...?

Nexon Japan doesn't use Pando Media Booster.

There must be a recent memory leak in the client.

Mine can go over 800k at LHC. It's a crappy memory leak that Nexon never seems to fix.

On GMS mine leaks memory like a sieve... um, currently 8GB in use, it's been running for a couple days ('stop playing' says 44 hours). On my other desktop (only has about 4GB) it periodically crashes when it runs out of memory.

The thing is, it doesn't show up in the task manager. So what you see is actually an underestimate. Not sure if it's because GameGuard is fucking with the stats or what.


I just ended Maple to demonstrate. You can see it was using about 130,000 handles, ~1GB of RAM, and 7GB in the Commit - which is the page file.
If your page file has a strict upper limit, MS will eventually reach it, crash, and give an out of memory error. If you configure it without an upper limit, you can play as long as you want, although obviously you're gonna use up your HD space wherever you put the PF.

My laptop cant handle MS anymore after about 30 minutes, forcing me to quit and letting my laptop cooldown for
about 30 minutes before I can play again. Happend since Acsesion.. Its SO annoying ._.

I can fairly easily reach 400k, have yet to see it go higher than 513k tho...

back when i used to play on my old XP box, I used to break 700k at LHC. I remember when I did the Neo City quests, I fought that giant brown robot thing, and it started to dissapear, then it lingered afterwards, causing to me slowdown a lot and other things to flash or not show up on my screen.

So that may explain why my MS crashes periodically, memory leaks. I attributed it to some connectivity problem which also prevents me from playing LoL.
