That bastard Irelia. While I admit bot could've done better Irelia shouldn't have been immediately condescending. I will admit though I shouldn't have initiated in that last fight. That caused us to lose. Blurgh.

Well... she wasn't really all that great during the AoE meta =/
I view her shroud to be a small problem, but her ult to be an even more serious problem.

He was but I don't recall him raging, probably because he wasn't doing very good.

Yayzors Lasthitting practice being useful, Finally got a use for the Hold/Stop Keys, also xerath practice CDR Its pretty good for that bastard (Now i just need some caster runes to use it in normal games...).
Oh right, there were the mechanic preview for greaves, a Shotgunner (Aka Ranged DPS) that can also punish people that get too close, bastard even has his owns smoke nades or some sheet like that.

Greaves Mechanic Preview
Average Gatsby Wrote:Greetings Summoners!
We wanted to take this opportunity to preview some of the gameplay on our newest ranged DPS champion: Graves, the Outlaw.
This rough-and-tumble gunman uses a massive, hextech double-barreled shotgun to rain down death from a distance and punish any foolish varmints that get too close. For example, Buckshot shoots three quick shrapnel bursts in a cone in front of him. Unlike other multi-missile spells, however, all three Buckshot rounds can all hit the same target (although each individual projectile will deal slightly reduced damage).
Graves is also able to make it uncomfortable for foes to fight at his optimal range by throwing out Smoke Screen to limit enemy vision and slow them in an area, while Quick Draw lets him dash in for a quick shotgun blast or escape danger as needed. In this way he can control his positioning to set up maximum damage Buckshots.
Finally, Graves can use Collateral Damage to unleash a skill shot that nukes the first target it hits, spreading a cone of damage behind its target to hit anybody yellow enough to hide behind the tanks. While the single-target use is simple, properly utilizing the cone is what will separate the good Graves players from the great ones.
Our goal with Graves was to make a ranged DPS that had some incentive to get up close or make enemies think twice before getting in your face. While its completely possible to play Graves as a standard max-range carry, this dichotomy makes for skill differential without adding a high barrier to entry (or any hefty, paragraph-long tooltips). Whether trying to maximize the close-up damage of Buckshot, or setting up the 1-2 punch of Collateral Damage, were excited to add a champion with true grit to the ranged DPS lineup.
tl;dr -
- Graves is ranged DPS
- Has a defensive/offensive CC
- Has a blink that can be used offensively or defensively
- He has a cone AoE ult that nukes the first person hit and "sprays" damage to people behind the first target that gets hit. (I do have an analogy for this, but it involves real life modern military firearms...some might not get this lol)
Edit: Just played a 5v5 premade ranked with my friends. Walked out on enemy Malz's ult a few times thanks to QSS (trollface.jpg). And I tanked pretty well, though I did make my share of mistakes. Replay is here

Wow Graves sounds cool, although from the preview I dislike his character design. Cowboys and western stuff isn't my thing.
Regardless, I love ranged dps so I may buy him on release...

Anivia with blue versus Riven.
Anivia pushes to tower.
Anivia lays down Glacial Storm right on top of the minions.
Anivia: /d
Riven: Hmm what do...

No, its like a Super Nuke that split up in a Cone (Hitting everyone behind) the instant it hits someone.

I took a look at some of the "Akali OP" threads, and here's what I'm thinking:
-- AP + HP items aren't uncommon, and back in the old days they worked because skills weren't retarded spammy, nor did spellvamp exist. Now, I think there's a balance problem between these three stats.
At least 2 of these suggested changes are going into effect eventually, imo.
-- Akali's ultimate has too long of a range. I don't mind letting her jump to a minion to reach you, but it's basically a death sentence if you accidentally run across her somewhere random as a squishy, since most jumps and blinks (flash included) just don't let you break the distance necessary to get her off of you. This would be a small nerf in order to maintain her viability.
-- Akali's Mark of the Assassin does stupid amounts of damage for what it costs, energy and CD-wise. Nerf the damage in general. (I also thought about nerfing the spellvamp on this skill, but other champs have single-target spam abilities too, and adjusting the damage with spellvamp in mind is fine.)
-- Too much freebies from Akali's passive. Small nerf here.
-- Increase the amount of visibility time for the enemy when Akali attacks from Twilight Shroud. I recall Akali having gotten a buff here: 1 second down to .5 seconds. I think a .6 visibility time would be fine, although this would mostly cater to bads instead of fixing her core issues.
(Oddly enough I've only seen one Akali played the whole weekend. My brother is pretty good with her however, and I'm drawing from his experiences as well.)
EDIT: rjcombo Wrote:Spectator for custom games is just about ready for launch, and we're already working on post-launch improvements for the feature. Awesome things are coming, so stay tuned. =)
Again with the "scaling for public release" thing, while also catering to where it would matter most: tournaments!

Any nerfs to akali's Q damage would more or less break her.
The notion that Q gets double procs single target spell vamp is ridiculous. That's really the problem. And that riot likes to constantly buff spell vamp items without reworking the champions who utilize it.

Odd, I thought Akali is perfectly balanced, except MAYBE slight nerf on her range and spell vamp. She has too much counters. If you have have a squishy? Gg, it's your fault for not protecting her. She runs away in her shroud too much? You idiot, buy an Oracle's.
Really, all you need to do is focus her. One stun destroys Akali.

Nerfing the damage solves the spellvamp issue. I'm not so concerned that she needs to burst down a tanky DPS, but so long as she can still annihilate squishies, she'll live.

Debatable, when looking at the big picture. I don't really know.

Okay, I've gotten MUCH better as lux... I'd like to think. I was the cause for most of garen's death. He'd run away into the jungle, low on hp but in the fog.... I'd just guessed where he'd be... and BAM! ult to the face. He kept saying I was hacking since I'd ult him all the time. "CD HAX"
Heck, with the low CD and blue buff, I'd sometimes use my ult to clear backed up minion waves.
I was mid against morg. We went even for a while.... then her spell vamp + tormented soil started shining through... Killed me like twice with snare + soil. I avoided it a ton... but once it landed... ouch. Luckily mundo dropped by to destroy her
From the overall results, it's safe to say I carried this game... but everyone on my team was a HUGE help. It's the kind of team you'd always want to play with.

Your build...sucks .
Mejaj's may work now, but it probably won't in the future ha ha.
Get rid of that second derpcap for a rod of ages or Banshee's Veil or Frozen Heart or something.
You also oughta use something else than Clarity. Do you have mp regen runes yet?
