first of all, sorry for my english... it's not my first language.

One skill i'd like to for BaMs is some sort of aura totem, where you place a totem and that totem emanates the aura that you are using, so you can double the range of the aura with this (for ranged classes at bosses) or make it usefull while training by putting it in other platform.

What is this, WoW? BaMs are Maple's "Shamans"?

Jokes aside, having a "Range Increase" on their auras would be extremely helpful.
I always feel like their auras only serve a purpose for bossing and not training, since majority of the time I'm not even close to the range of their Aura.

Knights of Cygnus aren't meant to be a "main char". They are for practice for first-time maplers (most people screw up their first char, even though it's a bit harder to do now without dice and with guided AP assigning), or a side-quest for more experienced players (pretty long quest, but the rewards - permanent 24 att buff to all characters on the account, and a level 120 mule that can be used to farm drops, fill in for PQ's, intimidate ks'ers, master a second profession, or any of a number of uses - are worth it).
There is no need to bolster them. If anything, they need to be simplified further. Perhaps, like Evans, they need to have their skill-build uniform and pretty much dictated by the game.

As for giving Explorers the Black Mage story - NO. Explorers were in Maple World before the Black Mage ever showed up. They are the normal people, doing their normal things - who will, in time of need, join forces to defeat a greater evil than any of them can take on alone. But they are not to be burdened with this right off the bat. They are not being trained to fight the Black Mage. They are being trained to live their lives as Explorers/Adventurers, seeking fame and riches all over the world.
Maple Island is a bright, happy place. Don't shadow it with prophecies of doom.
As for whether kids will get the references to Lucas or Mai, who cares? Replace them with more current popular-culture icons if you want.

Nerf Demon Slayer + Mercedes along with Thief and Pirate jump and THAT SHOULD BE IT ALL.

idk about you, but I'm tired of this constant cycle of revamps. Seems like kMS just wants new classes and revamps because it's the fastest to do...

What I would like is NEW AREAS, NEW SYSTEMS/FEATURES, SYSTEM REVAMPS, MORE MINIGAMES AND NEW PQs. These skill revamps are not enough to be called actual content...

Yah, we get stuff like Monster Park and LHC, but looking back few years, we used to get way more new areas and systems in a year.

"Support" in maple story is a joke. Either buff us to everyone else's level, or put in a global potion cool down like every other MMO so there's actual support element in the game. Also take out HP washing.

OR make potions extremely hard to come by.

THis... I am thinking... GMS after Legend will get 2 months of their exclusive content and finally they want to try to revive Trollsteria, I mean Masteria with some new areas.

ChaosH Wrote:For example, we have TOO many "double jump around and shoot a pomegranateload of projectiles classes": NLs, BMs, MMs, WHs and now Mercedes. Demon Slayers = Aran + Battle Mages + steroids. Cannon Shooter = Mechanic + Corsair - Battleship/Prototype. Warriors (except Demon Slayer) is pretty much the same for all classes on all levels: 1st~2nd job spam Ground Smash/Power Strike, 3rd job spam a job-specific skill (all of them envolving beating, poking or slashing monsters with whatever weapon your holding), 4th job spam rush (finally!) + an upgraded version of one of your 3rd job skills.

Don't forget the fatsus combos of mercedes...

Quote:A storyline/quest revamp. We shouldn't force Adventures/Explorers into obligatory quests, but at least give us decent quests and interesting storylines. Shouldn't we be doing something to change the future and prevent Empress Cygnus from being corrupted? Where IS the goddamn Black Mage, anyways?

Adventures had a 4th job quest storyline but that was removed.

I still have a [storybook] frozen book of ice. =/

I've read multiple times about how the fun at playing WoW truly starts at the level cap.

http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/02/11/wow-ro...-now-what/

Perhaps maplestory could do the same and alter its end game content to be more challenging/rewarding.

Quote:A Bishop revamp would be really nice. Make Bishops are REAL support class, not just a HS mule + pot saver. Less damage skills (good bye Big Bang), more support (not necessarily buffs - be creative Nexon), an Advanced Dispel (Dispels ANY debuff, even zombify and seduce, but it has a considerable cooldown) skill would be a good idea to begin with.

Most of the bishops at lhc just hang on the rope and hs/adv bless whenever the party asks for it.

A pot cooldown would make them more active with heal but I'm not sure if that would work in non-party areas.

Give thieves/pirates their revamp, nerf mercedes/DS.

THEN for the love of the maple gods, fix HT, fix Empress, open CWKPQ, and fix all the other bullpomegranate glitches that we are currently having to put up with. (Yes I know this poll is for KMS and most of what I just said is stuff GMS has to do).

The fact Explorers aren't tied to any specific storyline doesn't mean they don't deserve some decent quests. Actually, they should be the class group with the most quests - they're Explorers, there should be new quests and adventures wherever they go. Also, just because they started as normal people, doesn't mean they can become heroes of Maple world, write they OWN legendary stories about Explorers who trained hard to become powerful enough to fight besides the actual Legend classes

When a Explorer hits lvl 120, he's as powerful as Empress Cygnus most powerful knights and we have no real enemies to fight in Victoria Island (except for Balrog, which is sealed up inside the deepest levels of the Cursed Temple), why not prepare yourself for real challenges? You're no longer an ordinary adventure who used to kill slimes for their bubbles, your a warrior capable of tanking the largest enemies, a mage who summons the power of elements to wipe out whole maps, an archer with the ability to shoot arrows faster than the human eye can see, a thief furtive enough to sneak past monsters and attack them when they least expect them or a pirate that has explored the deepest caves of Aqua Road and sailed the skies aboard every boat on the game. Why should such powerful Maplers be treated like "ordinary people"?

Also, Explorers have enough reason to fight the Black Mage. He almost blew up Victoria Island and in the future he has completely destroyed Henesys and probably killed almost every Explorer in that version of Maple world, high leveled Explorers can just sit and wait for an invite to join the fight against the Black Mage, sometimes the greatest heroes are the ones who were born to be just an ordinary Mapler.

Well, skill quests are annoying. Everyone wants immediate access to all their skills once they get to 4th job, at least level 10 mastery. Quests should be an alternative and rewarding activity for grinding. And of course, they should be worth reading (most quests are just "help an NPC get X amount of items, give it to him and then never talk to that guy again").

Luxeraph Wrote:@Happylight: Bishops already get annoyed by people always asking for heal you think making it even more needed will help?

A Bishop who doesn't want to heal/support/buff shouldn't be playing that class in the first place, or at least should be playing it on a party.

revamp all class to have 2x more hp, why would you have a 99,999 hp cap when most lvl200s can only get 10-20k unwashed, or give us back 30k defenseFrown

ChaosH Wrote:-snip-

Personally, I think Explorers shouldn't have any set story line. What I want is a MASSIVE overhaul to the quests and quest chains, and have ALL of them connect to each other in some small way. I remember lots of quests mentioning how various animals are becoming more violent, and that can easily be tied into the whole Black Mage plot line considering what happened to the Future Henesys monsters.

Along with a quest overhaul, I'd also like Explorer characters to have the ability to pick a side in the struggle. Have quests available to one side that would normally be inaccessible to the other, and have items that can only be obtained by one side. Hell, there would be tons of PvP opportunities if they allowed players to chose a side, and they could even have boss battles where players could attack or defend certain towns or just random locations and then have that area affected depending on the outcome for a certain amount of time afterward.

Oh yeah, and going off on that mass nerf idea I mentioned earlier, to which Dark Link pointed out that nerffing potential would work better. After seeing that thread about potential items randomly losing lines and some of them even having only one line, I've decided that they should indeed nerf potential to make it so that no item can have more than one line. Oh, but Overalls and Two Handed weapons should all have two lines, and Shields should have weapon potential lines so that Dual Blades and Mercedes won't still have their unfair advantage.

A bit extreme, but I think it's a good idea.

Only 'cause you can pot yourself. If you couldn't pot I'd gladly heal you.

To be support. Derp. Except there's nothing to support in MS barring a few bosses (where there's a potion cool down).
