I think I'm going to take that other guild up on their offer that's 6/7H Firelands. I was looking at their logs and they're pretty high except for 2 people. The only problem is that they raid really late.

I raid with this guild because it's the only guild whose times I can make lol, school makes me want to sleep early.

It's true, we only WoLed that night but our DPS sucks except for me and two guys.

God. Transferring is expensive or I'd have just done it who cares, but now I gotta worry about transferring my DK too.

7 tries on heroic shannox, lol, 2 times we ran and pulled shannox with the trash, so yeah.

This was our heroic shannox from this week. I did it as subtlety and almost hit 30k =D

yeah, the dps is low, but the fights end really fast, that's what I dont get lol.

we did almost the same dps as your guild, so I guess its good.

Yah if the fight is shorter, the percentage of the fight that lust is up is higher. Your 10 man shannox was only 3 minutes? wtp?

ughghghghhgghgh. First time tanking a heroic at 85, its been over a year since ive done anything as prot so i expect to be pretty rusty, get into grim batol and things are going fine. We wipe on the first boss, healer gets mad about something and leaves, the dps say we died because one of them killed an add and that enraged the boss. Get a new healer, second pull goes fine. Second boss dps die when the boss picks up his shield for the fire aoe attack. A dps leaves, second pull goes fine. Then we are clearing trash before the third boss and healer randomly leaves, so we wait a few minutes for a new one, and we do two pulls then i get a message saying I have been kicked...

The first pull was a little messy and one dps got sheeped and fell of the edge but that is hardly my fault and the second pull was perfect, ugh just so annoyed right now. I wish it said why you were kicked, even though it would probably just say "pomegranatety tank" or something along those lines and just piss me off more. Just so dumb that the whole dungeon group was saying that i was doing fine and that the wipes were not my fault, then some new healer comes in and kicks me after two trash pulls.

look up guides on tanking and make sure you keybind EVERYTHING!! huge emphasis on >>>>EVERYTHING<<<<.

The only things exempt from being keybound for the average player are mounts, special items used for dailies, non-combat pets, gear sets, pick lock, poisons, auras, aspect of the pack, food, bandages, fishing, far site, sentry totem, eye of kilrog, and that's it. IF IT IS ON YOUR BAR, AND DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE, IT NEEDS A KEYBIND

You might want to check out elitistjerks for guides to tanking. Even in blues, you should be able to tank any heroic with ease if you're doing it properly. If you're struggling there is something you're doing wrong.

yeah 3min, 4min for lord rhyolith heroic, thats because heroic lord is all about RNG.

I still don't get something, on this screen, the DPS is the % or the number out of the brackets? heroic majodorno on 10man have 106M HP lol.

If you do 100 million damage, and the fight lasts 100 seconds, you did 1 million damage every second. If the fight only lasted 50 seconds, you did 2 million damage every second. Shorter fights increase your DPS exponentially because bloodlust lasts a longer duration.

In a 100 second fight, blood lust will last 40% of it (40 seconds out of 100 seconds). If the fight was only 50 seconds, blood lust would be up for almost the entire fight.

keybind stuff

what? are we reading the same post? I mean thanks for trying to offer advice and such, but i dont see how a dungeon where boss 1: dps messed up, we wipe, boss 2: dps messed up, we wipe, random trash pull: dps unlucky, and then i get kicked has anything to do with keybinds. I mean not even 3 minutes before i got kicked, the people in the group said nothing that was going wrong was my fault.

maybe im just reading into this and taking it too personal since im still kinda upset about it, i dunno o.o

I'm saying that, even in a heroic dungeon, there shouldn't be a problem even if gear is an issue. As long as cooldowns are chained properly, you can pretty much tank any dungeon with very little issues. Now I'm not saying that the healer probably didn't suck to, but if the tank is amazing, it doesn't really matter if the healer sucks or not. It also works the other way. If the healer is amazing, it doesn't matter if the tank sucks.

Now for grim batol... What was your party make up? That first fight really really sucks if you don't have a ranged who can root or a death knight. The 2nd fight is pretty healer intensive without anyone messing up. The falling rocks tick for like 10k per 2 seconds or something like that.

Mind you I'm mainly a PvEer so I'm not binded for serious PvP.

pretty sure it will work with any mouse, ive got a logitech g5 or something and its pretty nice. Not quite as many buttons as i would like(5 not counting left/right/scroll) but i really like the shape of it and it was a bit cheaper than other gaming mice.

as for keybinds i have something like 1-5 shift and alt 1-5 and shift/alt qwerasdfg and then other random non combat stuff. mouse buttons have cooldowns.

Finally got my pomegranate together and edited my short story. Took much longer than I thought.

I don't think I will win lol these WoW RPers are so hardcore. I can't beat them. I see some of their threads on wow forums and Jesus Christ....
