I wouldn't say that, I would say that everyone wants their avi to be messed with but roughly a quater of those mess with the avis.

Edit: Actually I was pretty accuarate (kinda scares me) ~61 people posted here, 15 messed up avis.

Too many people wanting theirs messed up, not enough contributing to the messing.

How about this, for each person requesting theirs to be ruined.. the person ruins 2 other persons.
