My friend challenged me to start riding my bike around town to get to work and college (seeing as they are both well within in 10 mile radius of my house), and I decided to take him up on it. To ensure that I stick with it I've given back my company car for the next three months! I truly do look forward to doing this, if only for the exercise purposes. I'll still have my car to ride during the weekends and so on to go out, but for general commuting it'll be my bike

My best friends dog died last night at 12 years old. It had such a bad seizure that they had to put him down. It was kind of traumatizing because the seizure made it so that the dog's eyes couldn't close while it was being put down. I'm trying to think of what to do for him, but he's not available until friday.
I suck at these things.

Well, a minor set-back to my bike riding experience today. I woke up to it raining outside, something that for all intents and purposes is not that common in LA. Given that I'm riding my bike to work I had no choice but to brave it in the rain, since I didn't want to succumb to the overwhelming pressure of calling it quits on my biking endeavors! So I left ten minutes early, got completely soaked, and made it to work. Fortunately I always have an extra set of clothes at work, given the nature of my work. So I took a shower to warm up and commenced my day.
Minor work frustration: Can't seem to find a way to laser mark Chrome plated stainless steel without it turning a green-ish tint. Had to scrap out a $15,000 order and call up a very unhappy customer to let them know we need to rework their product. Not a fun experience  Got out of my math class at five and have an hour wait until my next class starts at six, so I bought a coffee and decided to review my reading for the week. Only to walk over to the class at six to find the class had been cancelled and I waited for an hour out in the cold for nothing.

Normal school day was normal. Stomach ruining my workout is also normal. Off to study into the late hours of the night for a history test/math quiz on Thursday.

Finally received word on my application to do a few months at University of California next year.
Verdict: Accepted.

San Diego. Gotta travel through LA though because for some reason flying directly to San Diego is ridiculously expensive.
