Looks fast with movement on both vertical and horizontal planes.. Don't see how it looks like a gunslinger with slower attacks. It shares about 2 or 3 similar skills but those have somewhat different effects and animations.
The laser skill is still kind of lame though but they do have good movement actually. I don't really pay attention to mechs but aren't they a bit slow compared to that?

It's an ok class to play, but when Mercedes and Demon Slayer came, it's just that most classes lost their appeal...
The only "semi-useful" classes that remain are classes that can buff MC's and DS's in a way:
- Bishops -> The usual Bishop every now and then...
- Mechanics -> AMP => 1x Mech + 5x +20% MC/DS = more dmg then 6x MC/DS. Also: Healbot + Portals
- Battle Mages -> Dark Aura => 1x BM + 5x +20% MC/DS = more dmg then 6x MC/DS. Also: Other Aura's
Can't think of any other classes being also useful, ever since the Decent skills, but maybe I overlooked something?

The laser thing looks exactly the same as battleship torpedo except it hits twice. Then they have their own version of battleship cannon (which looks exactly the same). They also have recoil shot and their own gaviota that goes down instead of up. Hell, they even have their own version of octopus that's a monkey instead of an octopus.

Yeah I really wish they'd have put more physical attacks instead of range attacks. I mean come on, you have that big ass fricken cannon, don't tell me it's too fragile to smack a monster in the face with it. Would have been an interesting concept- midrange/melee character instead of full ranged with like 1 semi-melee attack.

WOW THIS GUY IS REALLY WEAK. If the damage formula i saw is right i expect to be this strong by 13x...

If torpedo had 1.5x the range with mid air casting, sure.
If battle ship cannon had a hit animation twice the size of a character. Have you seen it? It's pretty big.
I dunno what skill you're talking about with gaviota, so whatever you're saying must not be true here.
Visually, sure...you're completely ignoring the differences in how they actually work. You only cast militia once. You have to keep using octopus...militia has a nasty bug though so it won't be used at all if we get that glitch.

How am I ignoring how they work? They're the same... the laser is a long range frontal attack that hits anything in front of it just like torpedo. So what if the Cannon Master's can be used while jumping? That doesn't make the skill any different. Cannon is just a ranged single target attack the same as whatever that guy was using. Is militia that little monkey? because he definitely had 2 of them down.
The downward gaviota was at the very end.
I mean if you really think those are 2 different classes then okay.... but I think they look almost the same just with different animations.

Yeah it totally does. The most popular future ereve map involves one main platform and two higher ones. Since you can jump using it it makes attacking all 3 way easier. Torpedo can't do that, so on top of not having stance they have to position themselves on the side and jump back and forth. It's more efficient than torpedo by range alone. Allowing it to use in the air makes everything way easier for them.
Oh gee a ranged single target attack that sounds familiar lets point it out as some kind of downside. What else did you really expect?
You can have multiple out? Well that'll only make the glitch worse. Hopefully it's fixed. If not...well it lasts 60 seconds so you can only imagine how ridiculous that is.

One question is the play style of a cannon shooter the exact same as a corsair's? I don't think so the only thing shared kind of is the skills which as said have different effects if you look into it enough.
If they don't play anything like corsairs the skills being almost the same really doesn't matter if they fight in a different way I guess. Doubt I am right anyhow.
The single target skills...they are all copies on all classes. I think in weird ways..

Cannoneers have a fourth job skill that summons two monkeys that are both sitting in small turrets with cannons. They act as a stationary summon that behaves in a very similar fashion to Wrath of the Octopi. I believe that is what DrRusty was referring to.

You don't have to explain it...
Maybe rusty got confused that there were 2 monkeys and thought it was multiple. Two monkeys get summoned...but it's one "turret". I was under the impression if you try and set another one the old one disappears.

Actually neither one of them have any delay, you can practically spam both skills. One thing I hate is that you can't use Backshot after Cannon Jump...that would've been SOOOO COOL!
I agree with you about Monkey Madness though...it could've been used a lot more...
Eh, It was the best display of skills I could find. Why the hell are there no good Cannoneers in KMS? >.<
There's also a video of a 10 second Pap solo somewhere. The guy was hitting upwards of 300k per hit from Barrage. Wasn't too interesting though...
