I didn't think of that, you're right...especially if they need to input them in a ton of places in order for the script to work correctly. I guess they could just be lazy about it and only target 1 world at a time.

Or more likely, they're not doing anything that needs to know the addresses, or are getting the addresses from the files and not by hand.

With all these pages of people being hacked and pomegranate, it makes me want to delete my user id and just login with my email, it's in the fucking list, but i read idk if it was in the lolnexon forum that if you delete your user id you account would be "less" secure, i don't see how my account could be less secure since my id is already on that list.

If your email gets compromised (e.g., they change your email pass), then there goes your MS account. If you still have your NexonID, you can always change the email associated with the account.

Can't you change your email if you can recover the password from the compromised email?

If your email is compromised, no, you cannot use it to reset your account. It's more likely that you can't access the email at all, and therefore can't click any verification emails from nexon.
Now that I reread it I guess you could, but going through a chain of email password recoveries seems like a lot of hassle.

Thought I'd add on, was hacked, wasn't active, but I noticed my characters were missing their weapons when I was looking on the rankings a few weeks ago passed it off as me playing around on them/forgetting that I de-equipped them for some reason, see Ascension is coming today, log on, all 3 of my Elemental Weapons are gone, my earrings and my well over 200million mesos, as well as my tradeable evolving ring.

I spent well over 300$ on this game, and my gear wasn't the greatest, but it sucks to see it gone, with no chance of compensation, from no fault of my own.

It's not even a real ID change, just a way to make your login into an email login. Which is stupid as hell lol.

The only tie I have left to MS is checking the rankings to see if my guys have stuff on them still.

Well, after 6 years I finally got hacked yesterday.
The weird thing is that they didn't took anything. Just evolve ring 17 and mesos from char and bank(few mil)

My items and my gear were left intact but un-equipped. My other chars are intanct.
I've never been hacked in the past so right now I don't know what to do. x-x

I changed my password, changed the email password, security questions, but I don't think that will be enough. =/

i dont think nexon will acknowledge the hackings till everyone is hacked, even then they'ed still blame the players

I openend 1 ticket first, immediately after i got hacked.
This Ticket is still open!!

some weeks later Nexon made an Announcement to open a Ticket for chagning the ID.
So i made a second ticket with the MTS-hacking subject. I reffered to the first ticket, that i just want an ID change when
i get my Items back and my money and my NX back, else i dont need an ID change because i will never come back in case i do not get my items back.

First the 2.Ticket was "work in Progress" after 2 weeks it was changed "closed by GM".
The "GM" did not even respond to the issues i have.

That was the answer to my second Ticket.

I have a question worth to be asked to whoever was hacked, but before I get to my point, let me say this;
You guys keep coming with those theories of the way the hackers got ahold of the info ETC ETC, and once a guy comes out and says "nope, not in my case"; you rule out this theory on the spot, forgetting the fact that, afterall, people get hacked everyday, for sharing info and whatnot, so just because your theory doesn't match up with 100% of the people who were hacked doesnt neccessarily mean it is false.

Anyway, my question is
Do (and again, MOST OF) you guys who were hacked, have Win7? (eventho there are many win7 users worldwide regardless, I think this question still needs to be asked)

By the way, my wife (IRL) was hacked on Maple about 1-2 weeks ago. Here's all the facts:

• Always logged in from the client (for the past half a year or more), never from the site.
  
• Never even looked at MSA on Facebook.
  
• Only MTS activity EVER was purchasing a SE book last Jan/Feb for her WH.
  
• None of our chars / accounts have appeared on any of the leaked lists.
  
• She has never registered on any fan site / forum.
  
• She's the only user of her laptop.
  
• Never been to "suspicious sites".
  
• Her laptop is 100% malware / viruses / keyloggers / etc. free.
  
• Has never, EVER given out her info to anyone else (except me, but my laptop is also malware free).
  
• Was online, standing in the FM entrance ch7 around 10 am Central time.
  
• Checked back on the game around 2 pm CST to find Maple had closed. (I forget if there as an error message or not). We left the house shortly after.
  
• Got hacked at 5:36 pm CST while we were gone.
  
• Only one character was raided.
  
• Hacker purchased 1 arrow for Bow with her remaining ~2k of NX through MTS. (zeroed out her prepaid balance). MTS logs provided the time that she was hacked.
  
• Items lost: WG, Evo Rings 1&2 (both lvl 17), all tradeable chairs (couple bil), several 50% pinks that she just bought 1-2 days prior, and a Von Leon gun with 1 failed slot (no passed scrolls, lol...), Angelic Bless Recipe, and ~320 mil mesos.
  
• Submitted a ticket within an hour detailing everything that was lost (items, NX, mesos). Ticket is still marked as "Open".
  

Everything put together seems to fit the pattern of a Remote Hack the most. (Namely that she was on, got d/c'd, and hacker only raided the char that was online).

EDIT: To answer above, both of our laptops are running Win 7, 64-bit and are completely up-to-date with Windows Updates.

Blargh. Whoever came up with that name needs to be beaten with a stick. All hacks are remote, unless they're sitting at your terminal physically. It's a switch-hack for crying out loud because they switch themselves into your character.

i doubt there is this "switch hack" since ppl who doesnt play for monthes get hacked, best bet is they tried to log in and couldn't, tracked you in game and dc hacked you off maple

It's existed before, no reason it can't exist again.
There's no law of the universe that only one method of account hack can exist at any given time, any more than there's a requirement that all hackings have to be by the same person or group.

Same as my account.... The hacker bought 1 arrow!!!
Well.... On my side of view, it is more likely that the hacker DCed the character and log onto the account instead of a surf hack.
As far as I know, the character needs to be CCing/entering a portal to be surfed.
By the way, are your wife other characters are not considered as high level?
Because the hacker only stripped my high level characters, mules are remain untouched. If that is the case, this might be why only one character is stripped.
