Naruto Thread (Spoilers For Sure)
Smooth Criminal Wrote:Meh, I mostly read Naruto because I just want to see it to the end. I'll admit there's a few good chapters once in a blue moon, but it feels like very little happens in a Naruto chapter. I've got my criticisms about the series and the direction the series took after the timeskip, but I still just want to make it to the end since I've been reading for so damn long.

This chapter and most of the war has been pretty boring for me to read, but I don't mind taking the small bit of time it takes to read a chapter.
Same boat that i'm in. I hope it ends soon.

Flaw in that argument: First 50 Chapters of Naruto (Zabuza Arc) and rock Lee vs Gaara were the high point of this series which made me interested and are completely different from what is being written/drawn now.

Just sayin'.

Rock Lee was the fucking man back in the day. And now he's some scrub who gets no attention and sucks. Even Neji got a slight cameo, although Neji is an important char too, who the pineapple cares they showed off his power, I wanna see more of Rock Lee's tactics and pomegranate.

I wanted to make an lolnote about Chidori/Lightning Blade being stolen from this guy.

.... Just wow.
It's called an example. You could read 200 chapters and do the same fucking thing.

Just sayin' since you know i wrote it in plain english and even wrote "you could".

Idk what you guys are talking about. Naruto is continually entertaining and this war has been pretty sick. Seems to me that you are hating on Naruto for the sake of hating something.

I don't think so. Some of the chapters were pretty dam boring if I say so myself. Like that Neji incident? Yeah, for like 2 pages it was good, but that ended pretty quickly. And the "kyuubi brothers" pretty much bored me half to death.

To me, right now it seems like Kishimoto's speeding through the battle scenes. Battles have been ending within a Rasengan or 2. How is it that a ninja with no prior knowledge about them defeat these Edo's faster than an entire squad with knowledge about them? (rhetorical question)

As much as I like Naruto, it can be both slow/boring and too fast. This is why I like the anime as well. This war will last a LONG time once they stop all the frelcking fillers...which is what I want to see.

This is a war. A worldwide Ninja war. One of Naruto's friends must die. Seriously, one must. And it's going to be Sasuke that kills him/her. I bet 1$.

Looking foward for Sasuke to join the fight.

And I want to see (I repeat, this is what I want to see), is Sasuke going against Kabuto and meeting with his brother. Killing him yet again.

Eh the Neji stuff was kinda boring I'll admit, but every chapter cannot be insanely entertaining and have massive drawn out fights. Naruto is pretty strong. Wind ele + rasengan + thunder flash or whatever its called + kyyubi chakra + sage mode makes him one of the strongest people out there. I still feel that there is a good amount left of this war and I cant blame Kishi for making some battles quicker than others. Do you realize how many battles he is juggling right now? It's actually rather unbelieveable how many he is having to keep track of. I just want to get back to the Kakashi rampage.

Okay so I'm trying to read the manga from where I left off in the anime and i'm really confused. Did Pain make everyone come back to life, even Jiraya?
Also what was the power Itachi gave Naruto?

Essentially everyone but jiraya, and they can't revive him with the current zombie technique because they can't retrieve his* body.

Also I think people(last two pages) aren't understanding that the manga fight scenes are a lot more anti climatic than the anime. Color, motions, sounds really make the entire scene. The big oof in this chapter is that he's a wall. The rasangen did absolutely nothing to him, yet was able to take out every chakra channel within one of the akutski in one blow. So he's forced to use something, much more powerful, which he'll probably manage, but it'll be unmastered, where bee will finish it.

Point is, the 3rd is a rock with a spear, and he wasn't scratched by naruto's signature, which is a very effective and advanced jutsu.

No sir. Nagato revived all the lives lost in konoha after his little rampage. jiraiya was too far out of the way i guess.

This. I actually go out of my way to watch all the major fights on youtube. Pain v Naruto, Sasuke v Itachi, Kages v Sasuke, Bee v Sasuke.

...

I just realized that Sasuke has so many more cool fights than Naruto.

Wait what? Who did Naruto fight? and who's Bee the black ninja?

They are talking about the latest chapter where Naruto fights 3rd Raikage. 3rd Raikage is now in my top monstrous people list, where Itachi and Jiraiya and maybe Pain, MAYBE, also live. And maybe Orochimaru. MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE.

Bee is the black ninja with sunglasses who is fusion-hahhed to the eight tails. He's like, pretty gangster.

Requiring it to be put into anime form in order for it to be good is not a good thing.

The manga fights aren't bad, they just can't be as drawn out, hectic, and flashy as they can be in the anime. You have 20-something minutes to jam pack as many insane effects and visual techniques as you want to make these fights awesome, but in the manga, you only have a pencil and usually no color. I enjoy the manga more than the anime, but I still go back to the anime to watch the major battles.

I'd find it pretty odd if it's in reverse. Normally in fight scenes, fluid motion is better than sliding pictures. From reading I don't think you just have the sophistication to appreciate the story, irony's, foreshadow'd events, and the real climax's in the text rather than the fists.
