It seems to have another R button since the usual R button is way to inward to be pressed easily so yeah the R2 is below the R button on the accessory, and it also looks to have an L2 button..

General Information:

• Expansion is developed by Nintendo
  
• The 'rumor' was originally posted on 01net, the French site known for being the first to leak the Wii-U
  
• Said rumor priced the expansion at 9.99 (Dollars? Euros? assuming Euros, since French)
  
• Also rumored on the site: rename, rebrand and complete relaunch of the 3DS in 2012
  
• The scans strongly suggest that the accessory is made for Monster Hunter, redesign rumor notwithstanding
  
• "Famitsu interviewed Monster Hunter series supervisor Ryozo Tsujimoto about MHP3G and the slide pad expansion. The device provides a good grip on the system, said Tsujimoto. He jokingly referred to the expansion as a 'secret weapon' which will allow you to play the game with the same feeling as playing Monster Hunter 3 on Wii."
  
• Implied that add-on is optional, and that the new game is completely playable without it
  
• Nintendo is still scheduled to hold a conference for the 3DS on Sept. 13 (two days before TGS) - this expansion will definitely be touched upon, so try not to jump to any conclusions before then

...But the 3DS already has a headphone port at the bottom. Not covering it is hardly adding it. :f6:

Its not even needed for Monster Hunter apparently. New monster in that game looks cool and the way it fights seems to be a change from other monsters in its class for a change.

Too bad there's no plans for localization on Monster Hunter Tri G.
Rather silly if they don't localize it, considering how well Tri did.

This is what I'm kinda scared about. I think they definitely should go and make a 3DS Lite or w/e they're going to call it, but anything much more than that could end badly. I'd be annoyed if my 3DS was completely outdated after only a year, at least. :x

How would they even go about rebranding it anyhow weird. I really don't know a thing about businesses oh well.

Capcom has been worse than Nintendo with localization of their games. Hope they change a bit soon and actually listen to fans it's a bit annoying not getting certain games.
