Will watch out of curiousity. I put enough time into D2 that I at least owe D3 a look before I pass it off as total crap as I've been thinking for the past year.

edit: still looking visually appealing, but I still haven't seen any real difficulty...hopefully act end bosses will be different, I haven't even seen her HP drop below max yet.

You have to buy Diablo 1 or 2 to play them.

But, go play diablo 2, so worth it.

So Is it still online only? I always played Diablo II off-line and finished it so many times, the RPG-y style was nice and I loved playing it as a solo game. Finished it with most classes but never felt like playing it online.

Since the pvp is no longer prevalent at all, it probably will feel about the same as offline. Plus, you can just set your game to private and not let anyone else in, if you prefer.

game looks pretty good. Can't wait to see the later acts.

Not every online / PC game is F[ail]2P. All the GOOD ones require you actually buying the game.

They've already stated that the beta (and the rest of Normal Mode) is meant for casuals and people new to the genre to be able to play through it without any problems. For a veteran player, the game should be smooth sailing until Hell.
