My problem was that I was VM'ing windows on a mac, had to partition with boot camp to get around.

If it helps, just put on Windows 7 on a old laptop. Errors started right after that.

Oh yeah, that's a common error I heard. I think it's because you're running Windows 7 on an outdated thing, that's probably why.
