Another Nexon Mistake
hongyu Wrote:you don't need a link to your old email. you can change your email without any confirmation. At least that's what I did when the new site came out. without security questions you don't even need any confirmation of pass/birth/etc. Just change lol

guess thats only for some people cuz i needed to verify before i could change info

I need to verify my registered email address in order to change it, but since it doesn't exist, you'll never get the verification email to begin with Tongue

Having this password change prompt come up, in combo with a non-existent email, has literally made my account unhackable / unplayable.

LOL that's what happened to my level 35 ice mage with orange bowl cut hair Big Grin

the only thing good on that mule were the old maple weapons and my beautiful ores. my beautiful beautiful ores T.T

I like this idea.

But if someone knows the exact name of your email, then they can recreate it with the same name and then click forgot password, can't they? o.o

they can't since his email provider no longer exist

no, his e-mail provider doesn't exist anymore, meaning you can't create an email like his ever again.
Since there's not much we can do about this...I thought I'd share this with everyone~ Rolleyes

Adding a security question removes the need of email verification. Since my email required a text message to log in, I feel safer with email confirmation than with their retarded secret answer system.

I was able to change it without a confirmation on my mule account that had no secret questions, I did it when there was the login glitch and had to switch emails to login, so no idea about now
since the list is lready public and im done with the game (since i wont get any compensation for my lost 50b)

Check it out and feel free to quit the game or not.

have fun:

What e-mail service has this? o.o
iamflip Wrote:What e-mail service has this? o.o

gmail, if you've set it up correctly, but you're probably misunderstanding what he meant.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
People are still getting hacked even after they changed their passwords. Has anyone ever heard of someone requesting a User ID change?

Edit: A friend of mines got hacked a while back and he said he asked Nexon to change his User ID and they did. I'm asking him now how long it took them to change it.

Bingo. Nexon essentially protected / "Locked down" my account, themselves, by accident LOL

Oh Sweet 8D
Guess I'm screwed since I don't have access to the email -_-
I might do the change once my email gets changed so I can update everything.
I logged a ticket the other day, and I plan on filling out that form that Eos found. Hopefully that will do something about getting my account back.
