Ignore def doesn't stack
CarrionCrow Wrote:On that note, is it just the 15% ignore options on Codex that's broken, or is the Leafre sets 30% ignore also not working?

all PDR afaik, only able to test 15% myself though, but iirc someone tested with leafre in this thread

I found no difference, at all basically, between leafre set and von leon set at ht today. In fact, I was able to hit just a tad higher with the Von Leon set, so the codex (at least) %pdr is still broken.

I thank you for your somewhat reasonable response in the previous thread, though as noted below you, it's more plausible here. I very well understand your reasoning in the previous thread and agree with it.

So that means Zakum or Von leon set is the ones you should go with, unless you have the future Heny one.

I tested Leafre. Didn't work.

I'm not moody; you're wrong and I'm correcting you.
Why people feel the need to try to create fault in others to rationalize why they themselves are being criticized, I'll never know.

And, no, I won't correct you via PMs as this is perfectly on topic.

It's also not at all plausible for it to work the way you've described.
To repeat someone else:
Locked Wrote:Why would boss damage, total damage and everything potential wise be additive and suddenly the retard named Ignore DEF be multiplicative?

Nothing else in the entire game functions the way you described. Nothing.
As I said in the previous thread, the only time such a formula is relevant in Maplestory is when there's a sequence of probabilities i.e. using multiple scrolls.

Please continue with calculations as normal. There's no need to derail the thread any further. I apologize for my role in it.

In the end, I only care about the calculations being correct. Whose (or what) method ends up being the one is of little importance.

Once again, my apologies for the derail.

As far as I can tell about this topic, it was 100% proven in kms by some dude on insoya who wrote a huge huge article about potentials and the chances to get which stats everything, and the damage ignore was confirmed that it didn't stack, it only doesn't stack BUT it only takes the lower %. So if you have both 30 and 15, it'd only use 15 and ignore the 30. So I'm assuming if you have 15 ignore and trying to use leafre set, might as well cube it out, which I plan on doing soon.

unless the leafre/whatever set is getting replaced by my 6.5% ignore from ambition this sounds kinda weird. no way of testing that unless we get someone with 0 ambition and a HT/crusade/hoblin set :X

If anyone wants to hobpq with one of my mules, we could test that.

Pretty sure the "takes the lower %" thing has been shattered since Big Bang. This was the case pre-bb, but not anymore.

dojo's best i'd say, but what are you testing precisely?

I can test just about anything it has lv 0 ambition it can have either godly or nub range ect ect

Put on a set bonus with ignore def %, then record your max/min damage (plus range), easiest would be to just do normal attacks.

I got a bm/nl/maybe a hero with no ambition ill do testing on bm now at idk pap will probably be the easiest.....
What would be better for testing a high or low range and ill try to keep um as close as possible between the different sets
Just finished testing on bm at pap and wow......
