I thought all of that was old news?
Ryukiroku Wrote:Excuse my ignorance on this one but what do they mean by this? Are they talking moving emulation from, let's say, 3DS to Wii and vice versa or more-so the system transfer approach like DSI to 3DS?
3DS to 3DS, of course.

I remember reading that it would have reduced features a while back, including the lack of save states. Though frankly, Nintendo save states are simply pressing home, and then re entering from where you left off if you start the game again. 1 save state is too few anyways.

Yeah, IIRC they mentioned the NES games would lack the menu a while back.

I don't like em o.o
I played all 10 of them in an hour or two and I'm done..
Super Mario Bros, ill probably play more.. but no saving?
Metroid, ill probably play more.. but password saving? ugh -.-
Zelda, ill play more but it's confusingg - has saving
Zelda II, ill play more too but its so different - has saving
Only Zelda games have the option to save..
Yoshi, it's just tetris.. but.. boring
Donkey Kong Jr, eh.. not fun
Ice Climber, fun.. but no saving -.-
Balloon Fight, fun.. but no saving -.-
Wrecking Crew, wtp?
Golf, errr.. o.O
Overall.. I was very excited at first.. but as I played through all 10.. I feel like I wasted all that time playing .-.
Disappointed D: First time playing all these games (except Mario)

All I read was "Saving = I don't get this game; No saving = it sucks; Complicated saving = it sucks"
Also I don't know what you mean by "Only Zelda games have the option to save..". All Zelda games have the option to save...

I prefer to progress in a game casually.. hence, the 'Save' option.
And I meant, only the two Zelda games out of the 10 have the option to Save.

I was born in the mid to late 1990s and therefore have no appreciation for old games cause they're too primitive compared to new games.
Seriously,
First of all, they already announced that there wouldn't be any save states for these titles and secondly, you're complaining about games that are at least 15 years old here. When I was playing SMB on the NES there wasn't a save system either. Their old, they're going to have flaws, but nostalgia's why people bought virtual console versions of them in the first place. Their flaws give them their charm so to speak.
Personally I can't wait for the GBA titles rather than these. Despite what I replaced your complaining with, I was only born in the early 1990s and only had a NES as a pass me down. That being said, I can't really say I completely experienced the whole NES era of gaming. I did however have SMB/Duck hunt, and Tetris.

Since when has "Password Saving" suddenly not become an "Option to save"?

I said in my first post that that's a good thing but annoying.
Yessss I know they're old, jeez, it's just my opinion on the games that I prefer to progress in a game, not die and start at level 1

So you'd rather take the easy way out and cheese through a game rather than having to work for it?

How is that "easy"?
I just rather not lose all my progress (potentially, hours of gaming) and start at square one again when playing a game..
The next or upcoming installments of each of these games introduce the Save option because players prefer to save their progress rather than start all over when wanting to play again.
Why's that sucha bad thing? :f6:

What do you do to get the 10 free games? I checked my eShop and there's nothing - just the normal games you have to pay for. I left my 3DS on for about an hour or so to see if I needed to get a Spotpass notification or something... nothing.
/confused

Why are people defending nintendos lazy and crappy implimentation of NES games?
No, just being a port doesn't suddenly make it the 1980's again. It's still 2011 and there is no good reason for any game, port or not, to not have a proper save system that requires any more effort than picking a save file to load.
